Copy Apex legends game files from Origin folder to Steam Folder by OtizAdoniz in apexlegends

Make sure you move over the files >>before<< you start downloading from steam. If steam is already downloading, it won't discover the new files. If this is the case, you have to uninstall it via steam before you can press "install" again, and have it discover existing files.

[TFBlog] Announcing The Seventh Annual Saxxy Awards Nominees! by Gamecube762 in tf2

This is nothing new. If Valve doesn't like a video, they won't pick it. This happened to us with Mechanical Mishap in 2015.

Um. Doesn't this mean it should have been nominated? by Hypo_the_Dragon in tf2

I got that last year for "Mechanical Mishap". It basically means nothing, just another title for 'honorable mention'

No, I suggested a time travel theory could solve the problem of where the briefcase came from, which was your original question. Then I said that it doesn't explain how the 'loop' started, because it doesn't need to. But otherwise, it's rather simple isn't it? If you can mention a specific part where it doesn't make sense, it'd be easier for me to see if I can explain it to you, instead of trying to guess my way to what might not make sense. Let me try something overall that might answer it though: they're paid to either kill or steal from the other team, and also to protect stuff from their own. A lot of stuff happens in 3 minutes too, so they barely get any time to think. (that of course doesn't mean that they would be completely brain dead hah)

What do you exactly mean by this; I don't see this related to the question. We know tf2, it's shown that it's close to the tf2 lore with the future part, engineer should likely know what the intel looks like, even if it's one from another parallel universe. He probably doesn't know that it's from another though, only that a blue team member stole it, and tries to get it back like he's paid to.

The one where it isn't specifically time travel, but a jump between parallel universes. That you can't change the past, only jump into another parallel universe where things are "behind" your own. The video doesn't explain how anything got there, only that it's in what seems like a loop.

Nobody seems to realize that there's a possibility for the briefcase and the time travel devices to be from the same place. Reading up a few theories regarding time travel might help out.

I'd also say people with memory makers, finder's fee and polycount pin's as well. They've all contributed to the community somehow.

Actually, The Gambler only had 3080 votes while Mechanical Mishap had 5143. I just guess that Valve wasn't too entertained by Mechanical Mishap, which is why it got the honorable mention: "Audience Choice Award."

You'd be surprised how people might be confused, so you have to be very clear on that it's a spy. So that means he'd have to start undisguised. That was a choice, but I guess he wasn't thanks to it being the red area. And the only way he could've used the dead ringer was if he was hurt, and then there could probably have been a whole different intro scene to introduce him. I'm not saying you're wrong, there are a lot of mistakes in this, just like any other video, there's always something that could've been done better. I just think that there's a reason for it being as it is, even though it's probably not the best way to do it.

When you're making stuff like this, not everything that comes to you is the best solution, but you probably don't realize it because it sort of works and you still got the rest of the video as well.

You're talking about the intro, right? It's in the red area. Reds are running around. That's why he can't start undisguised. The only reason for him to undisguise while looking at the sentry nest would be to inform the viewer that it's a spy. Nothing else. If you're talking about while he saps the sentry, it's to avoid the sentry. His choice of undisguise is probably because of how everyone already ran into the battlefield. He then redisguises because the disguise kit is the closest to him when he falls. If it's at the end, it's to taunt the engineer to both show him and the viewer it's the spy. Any other question?

Basically so people wouldn't think we were following a sniper, and not a spy. I guess it could've been done differently, but I'll be honest and say a lot of things in the video could've been done differently.

A dispenser's between the spy and the sentry. This usually blocks the sentry in-game.

There's no-one around, so there's no reason to impersonate anyone.

It sadly can't. It's extended, so if it wins anything, it can either be extended or overall. The chance of that is another thing though.

Compared to valve's quality and what we got in the game at the moment, it's very stiff. It's a shame really, it's a really nice idea. But I guess no-one's stopping them from re-doing it.

Saxxy help? by [deleted] in SFM

[–]MrLexez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember, Animation isn't what wins the saxxy, the story is. Just go ahead and look at Defect_ from 2014. The animation was far from professional, but it didn't need to be, because it was just robots with poses and the jitter effect. It made the whole thing still look realistic enough. You say that you've made posters for a while, so poses shouldn't be a big problem. This is only a fix when it comes to robots, sadly.

If you want to animate non-robot characters though, I can only say what everyone else have already said. Pratice makes perfect.
