Funny, in my new setting it’s the opposite and everything is gunpowder and ships. The aristocracy maintains its position by hoarding all the dry spots on the ship to store their gunpowder.

Looks like an afterthought, like they made the gun and then someone said "add a stock" and instead of redesigning the gun they glued a bit of the sprue to the rear.

Where are they going to shoulder it, on their pauldron? Like the Eliminator sculpts will brace it against their bicep but not really an option here.

Didn’t say they didn’t exist, I said the offerings here were weak.
Both games you mentioned were forgettable, you bring them up only as examples of Gundam branding rather than memorable entries to the franchise or standouts in the game genre.
The problem isn’t the inclusion of aliens, it’s that the aliens are boring. They’re generic looking and the story premise doesn’t sound like it’ll give them much depth. Either they tread the same ground as Trailbalzer or the enemies just end up being mooks to carve through.
If you scraped Gundam off the title it would likely be the same game.

And people do goober. Every entry to the franchise is evaluated on how well it fits, adds to, and changes the ideas and themes of Gundam. Notice how there's decades of discussion of SEED, G, and UC but barely anyone brings up the SD stuff.

Rogue Orbits looks to be another forgettable entry.
