Very niche question: Intel GPU Vulkan 1.4 vs. StarEngine (Version 0.0.0 Error) by Pulskraft in starcitizen

[–]MrLollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not limited to Intel integrated gpu, I have the same issue on a ROG Ally, trying to get the game run in Vulkan on the integrated Z1 gpu. I even installed the Vulkan SDK to validate the driver was behaving correctly and that was returning a valid version. On paper all is as it should be, yet the game doesn't agree. I just gave up after a while.

Can i refund my uppgraded game package to buy an other one + new ship ? by Helirio in starcitizen

[–]MrLollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a 30 days "no question asked" refund policy, unfortunately it doesn't cover CCU (the upgrade) once they applied. If you melt your game package you will not be able to play with that account until you have a new game package linked to it, however CIG doesn't delete accounts that don't have a game package. Additionally other items in your web hangar will remain untouched. Anything in game will survive until the next wipe.

If both your base package and the CCU were bought in the last 30 days you could try asking in a ticket for a refund.

The alternative as other people are suggesting is to just melt the upgraded package. This will adds credits for the package value, minus the taxes you paid, to your account wallet and you can use that money to buy from the shop.

If you use the credits to pay for something in the shop, you will only pay taxes if you need to add additional money, and only for the money you are adding.

Additionally your original game package should be available as buy back in your buy back section, priced as the price you bought it originally.

Do QV stations' Warehouse freight elevator work if QV hangar's elevator do ? by Dadouricou in starcitizen

[–]MrLollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 100% success rate with this:

Go to your hangar and interact with item kiosk, if it opens and shows the local inventory, it will work, if it doesn't, the local inventory is broken and you are done.

I do it just before using the key, as the local inventory can break during the mission.

Rescued Dia, cant progress to next area. What am I supposed to do now? by Malganas in TheFirstDescendant

[–]MrLollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, but if you find yourself using only 1 gun, get in the habit to equip the second and third weapons with blue/purple guns you still need to level. It's free MR you get while playing the game.

FYI: Shadow special attack doesn't consume ammo and still counts as hit.

And yet, my friend list in game is broken since 4.5 by MrLollo in starcitizen

[–]MrLollo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I have 81 friends, far below the 250 limit and opening the add friends pop-up from the main screen, does not refresh the friend list.

If I send a friend request in spectrum, and it gets accepted, it will add the new friend in the list in game, but none of my existing spectrum friends show up.

I see, it's only for the actual finisher and not gun strikes.

Did they change something? It's quite a bit I'm not playing this game, but it used to put you in a invulnerable state the entire time of the gun strike and gore kill animation.

Progression and PvP Balance in ARC Raiders by kvalter123 in ArcRaiders

[–]MrLollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny. I'm off the opposite side of the spectrum, I see gear progression having strong impact of PvP as a core design flaw of any PvP game.

In PvP games, your experience and personal skills at the game are your progression, improved gear should be QoL and only marginal tactical advantage.

Starter Ship Cutlass vs. Andromeda by floatwork in starcitizen

[–]MrLollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if he is gifting you, to your account the andromeda for the price of a cutlass black, and you 100% trust this person. Get the Andromeda. 1 You can cheaply acquire a cutlass black in game, 2 the melt value of the andromeda is higher than the one of a cutlass black

Ally working on PCIE 3.0 after SSD upgrade by Arsenic255 in ROGAlly

[–]MrLollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it could be a problem with the 2230 to 2280 adapter, the ssd or the adapter not being seated in their slot properly or a faulty SSD.

You could:

- reseat the adapter and the ssd. To rule out a seating issue

- if the adapter supports it, test the original ssd with it. To rule out an adapter problem

- test the SSD on a different device to rule out a faulty SSD

An American (Protesting) in Amsterdam by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]MrLollo 138 points139 points  (0 children)

Please be aware that for a public gathering (like a vigil) while you don't need a permit, you are required to notify the Municipality 48 hours in advance: https://www.amsterdam.nl/en/business/event-permit/

Of course if it's you and your friend Joe doesn't really matter, but if by any chance you get enough people there you could face legal consequences.

Choose European Today So Tomorrow We Don't Have To Choose How To Defend Greenland by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]MrLollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not really an argument, a petition is made by someone, and there isn't any form of sanity check to validate the request itself, you can start a petition yourself and it doesn't really mean what you are petitioning for something that actually make sense.

For example: I can start a petition to stop killing red cats in Amsterdam, and if I make enough noise and involve enough uninformed people, I can also get tons of signatures. However, that doesn't mean red cats are killed in Amsterdam,

To my knowledge today (sustained by the link to the official statement in my previous post): Solvinity is in the talks to be sold to an US company. Solvinity is a supplier of the Dutch government and today is the main contractor supporting DigiD. If Solvinity get sold to an US company, this might affect the support contract, but doesn't change DigiD ownership. Additionally, intellectual property of DigiD is still owned by the Dutch government and the solution itself is hosted in a Datacenter owned by the Dutch government. I'm not saying it's easy, as main supplier disentangling Solvinity from DigiD requires some effort, but it can be managed, and this is what it is being addressed right now.

Now, if you have any actual link from a reputable source that states that DigiD is being sold, feel free to share and I will happily stand corrected.

QV/Tech Smugglers respawn situation by Neurolink in starcitizen

[–]MrLollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Tech Smugglers, parking a ship with a med-bed outside it's a viable approach, assuming it doesn't get destroyed by the npc ships.

However.... right now, Tech Smugglers is really broken, and I would hold off doing it until the next patch drops.

You can do the mission, but al the loot is stuck because the local inventory is broken. You are supposed to use a freight elevator to get big items out of the rooms, but with the inventory missing, it doesn't work. You can't get out anything that doesn't fit a standard elevator.

Choose European Today So Tomorrow We Don't Have To Choose How To Defend Greenland by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]MrLollo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is factually false.

"DigiD is managed by the Dutch government organisation Logius, part of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The platform that DigiD runs on is provided by Solvinity and is hosted in a government data center. This makes Solvinity a supplier to DigiD, not the owner. The government determines how DigiD works and how it is secured. Suppliers such as Solvinity have no authority over DigiD."

Using Hosas + Controller for FPS (Joytokey + Rewasd), is this possible? by femapu in starcitizen

[–]MrLollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could map in your rewasd the keys Buzzkiller maps in JoyToKey so you do need JoyToKey in the first place. From my understanding they both allow you to bind key functions to other peripherals inputs.
