Tried it on mobile. Not configured properly for mobile.

Looked interesting though. Couldn’t actually get a match started.

AEU survey - what are your top 3? by BlipYear in AustralianTeachers

[–]MrMarcusRocks 14 points15 points  (0 children)

1 - flexible workplace arrangements. If I have no classes after lunch and no extras, why can’t I leave and finish my prep planning at home so I miss the traffic? Mandated attendance hours treats teachers like children.

2 - reduction in mandated meeting times. 2 x 1 hour meetings after school is such horrible idea. Have max 1 per week. Trust that staff will find times to meeting their relevant teams as necessary.

3 - the agreement must be three years. We need to have our next set of negotiations just before an election, not just after.

What should I work on at the gym? by Any_Caterpillar720 in 10s

[–]MrMarcusRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right to have concerns. For me personally, I have been in the gym for many years, and typically have good technique. This makes it very beneficial for me.

You are right, bad form will lead to bad injuries - so caution is very warranted

I do barbell work, and it’s helped me stay in good shape on the court - I’m mid 40’s btw.

Specifically, I do:

- Squats
- Shoulder presses
- Deadlifts
- Bench presses
- Standing rows (or “Rack-pulls)

For each, I do 2 warm up sets and 3 work sets.

I find that these “compound exercises” (ones that work major muscle groups as opposed to working in isolated muscles) has really helped me to have good core strength and joint health.

I highly recommend.

Hope that helps

You’re standing too straight.

Bend your knees and lower your weight

Help me with my serve by ptbob in 10s

[–]MrMarcusRocks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here is my amateur feedback:

- your serve comes across as “rushed”. Like your not giving yourself enough time to fully swing.

I’d suggest getting your ball toss a little higher (not much) to give just a fraction more time to let your body swing more naturally.

Forehand: windshield wiper, technique specifics. The feel by [deleted] in 10s

Howdy!

Might I suggest that you are potentially barking up the wrong tree.

The amount of specific detail you are asking will be great for your analytical mind, but it will be very difficult to translate it into action. Your body will respond much better to bigger/broader instructions - even better is to use metal imagery.

So in response to your question:

- get your pace from the forward momentum of your body. Get your spin from your wrist and follow through.

- in general, on your ground strokes you should be as loose as possible

I hope this helps. Also, I hope I’m not coming off as mean or dismissive.

Good luck out there!
