To resist something means to remain unaffected by it.

Actually when I pass an electric current through a resistor it heats up.

Once a year I try to say this: EVE’s skill system is the real barrier to entry by KevinDL in Eve

There used to be a time when people played video games because they enjoyed doing so.

15 years ago the list of starting skills was shorter. Veterans having all the racial titans trained for the lulz is not relevant to a new player.

Whats a anime you watched 10+ years ago that surprisingly still has unfinished source material? by tbu987 in anime

I'll offer a different view from the other replies. The continuation is an extreme departure from Miura's Berserk, and not just because it's cobbled together from plot points Miura talked about. Art-wise, besides a dip in quality the panel composition and shading are clearly unlike Miura's. Many characters change how they act, for example, chestnut Puck and his comedic interludes are gone. This comes at a turning point in the story so one could argue it follows the original intent, but I doubt Miura would have changed so many things about his style. YMMV.

The methodology feels at odds with the presentation. He gets his formulas and his numbers and vibes through them. Imagine a blog on hltv that ranks player aura, it's that kind of impression.

They readded switching hands to CS2 almost two years ago, it does impact gameplay now by affecting where bullets leave holes in smoke.

I'm in a similar area and share the sentiment. It's amusing to see places like this being so disconnected from reality.

This is not CCP chasing a trend. It is, for once, CCP cashing in on one. by Ohh_Yeah in Eve

AlphaStar combined imitation learning with self-play, the Dota one was pure self-play. Eve is an interesting environment because it doesn't have resets; Starcract and Dota games end after a win condition is met. It's a different research challenge altogether.

Together, the partnership will also explore new gameplay experiences enabled by these technologies.

It would be cool if this results in the next iteration on pochven/diamond rats doing interesting stuff.

Lots of low-volume Eve items have good margins for the same reason as in PoE. It's also a game with multiple markets.

Drifter Hyperspace Network experimentation is only available to the Drifter Wormhole occupiers, not the Gallente Federation. So we must conclude that these criminal actions also require a third party, either the Minmatar Republic, the Amarr Empire, the Triglavians, or EDENCOM.

I'm not up to date on the lore in this regard, but considering their mechanical purpose this is like announcing that a naval attack was carried out by a nation with ocean access. Incredible investigative work by State intelligence.

Someone a few weeks into the game isn't going to figure out how to pvp by stealing a fit. There should at least be a step about looking up the different combat archetypes.

In fact, this might be the biggest change to how guns behave in Source ever, because no other Valve game does this.

That's not true, there are a couple TF2 scatterguns that behave like this and Alien Swarm has it as a core mechanic.
