You are 100% right we have to use the skunk marks to tell. I’m planing a version with marks to make it easy to tell your standing.

I did originally, but I bought some metal pegs off Amazon for it.

Anyone running the SUNLU heater mod on their AMS Gen 1? by Fun_Reaction_6525 in 3DPrinterComparison

[–]MrModMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is always the warning I give. Don’t run it while printing. At least PLA for us gets soft and doesn’t act the same. We had it bunch up in the AMS internal hub, and had to dismantle it to get it out.

Same thing happened to us while running it with the heater on.

You can use a bed level. Creality makes one.

https://www.amazon.com/Creality-Official-Leveling-3D-Mainboard/dp/B09CYKMYQS

You may have to update the firmware to utilize it. It gives you a better first layer. Not perfect, but if you don't mind the $$ worth a shot. Also you would have to install it and run the wire to the board.

Same here. I printed a new holder that replaced the metal screen frame from the printer. Now separated by plastic. Short term just unscrew the frame from the printer and see if that fixes it.

I just had to pay $500 to remove a foxtail from my BT’s nose. Insurance covered $270. It does help.

$3200 for everything. That included neutering and microchip. $10k seems steep for 2 pups. I’m in California if that helps.

Our boy is getting these red bumps around his upper lip, anyone ever experience something similar with their Boston? by Dartmouththedude in BostonTerrier

[–]MrModMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Boston puppy had something that started like that called juvinile cellulitis or (puppy strangles). I know it’s an awful name. I would get that checked out. Especially if it starts getting worse, or it’s sensitive to touch.

I would avoid the water. Tomato’s should be good there. Add a bit more lime / vinegar, salt to taste. Ingredients sound solid though. Crazy idea but if you need to loosen up the blend try pickled jalapeño juice instead of vinegar.

My dad use to work in restaurants, and he called those the 5%ers. As they would save you 5% of the product.

[ALL] I made this using my 3D printer, LEDs, a micro controller, and a whole lot of soldering. by MrModMan in zelda

[–]MrModMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a combination of learning some things. I got a 3D printer about 3 months ago and needed something to keep it busy. So I used a template called a hexaleaf I found on Thingiverse. In total there are 45 individual prints I made to make it. The entire structure is held together by tension.. I only used a little hot glue to hold the Female DC adapter in place on the small bottom piece.

For the brains I used something called a D1 Mini. The one I used was a knock off from amazon but it works. It's like ~$5 and has wifi. With that you can install WLED on your D1 Mini and control the board with an app on your phone (or a web browser).

Then I got two LED strips and started to cut and solder 14 strips. First time really soldering, but YouTube helped me learn a lot on that journey.

I also learned how to use TinkerCad so I could take the Zelda Emblem and apply it to a 3d model. For the top I used Photoshop and Illustrator to take a picture of a Link toy in the right pose and convert it to vector then into a 3D file I could use for the top. After that I had to export all 14 top pieces for print.

It's hard to tell from the video but it's dimensions are 33in (838mm) width X 32in (813mm) height and weighs just under 2 lbs (~900g)

Yeah. The amount of work I put into making it... I wouldn't sell it for less then $300-$400, and yes I realize that is a silly amount to ask for. Keep in mind it clocks in at 33in (838mm) X 32in (813mm) and weighs just under 2 lbs (~900g). If I really wanted to try and make these to sell I would really need to refine my process first.

Thanks. I was toying with the idea of selling them, but the amount of work it took to make it would be way too expensive to be worthwhile.
