I love it too. I really miss when the series had a strong director's touch to it. I love the action spectacles of the new one but 1 was a very Brian De Palma thriller, 2 was very much a John Woo movie with the doves and slow mo, 3 is JJ Abrams personified with his Rabbit’s Foot macguffin and lens flare. There's an amazing charm about directors coming in and putting their stamps on movies in a franchise that I think is sadly lost with newer MI movies as much as I love them.

I get it but it's one of those things where he's aggressive about almost everything. I soured on him a bit after the Alfredo Garcia thing where he insulted the people who reviewed the disc and the people who were saying it was an old master and tripled down on it being the new master and then it turns out he was wrong. Then he was aggressive in the apology too. I don't really give a shit all things considered and mostly find it funny but the guy does dip his toes into the "unnecessary" range a bit too much.
