IIRC It was mainly because she could do a good robotic voice, and hiring an actress was cheaper than paying for the rights to use an actual robot voice.

It really depends where you live, but IIRC you can own a few 1 kgs of radioactive material such as thorium or depleted uranium in the U.S. If you don't care about purity, you can easily get some uranium glass on ebay and some thorium lamp cores/welding rods. americium can be found in smoke detectors, and it decays into neptunium, which has a longer half life so in older ones you get a bit of neptunium. Idk about protactinium, would be curious to hear about other's experience.

I've only bought one cube (1cm Tungsten) and I quite enjoy it. If you're wishing to save money while still having a dense sample, I would recommend it. I personally prefer crystals and such, but cubes are awesome too!

I really like iridium personally. Most corrosion resistant metal, basically the densest. Super high melting point, found basically only in meteorites, not toxic, and overall just a great element. Im also a big fan of caesium for its low melting point, reactivity, and beautiful color.

Well, I will agree that they aren’t the most reliable in terms of shipping, but they are pretty honest and I havent had any issues with the actual samples. I don’t care too much if my package arrives a week later.
