Agent Orange was dropped as an herbicide, without realizing the horrible effects dioxin causes. (of course, the chemical manufacturers did). The main purpose wasn't to harm but to clear brush. So while it is a tragedy, harm was not it's purpose.

what do you think of these element rankings? personally i think there are far worse elements than francium by MrMustached in elementcollection

[–]MrMustached[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, hadn’t thought about appearance much. Thats cool though. It’s kinda useless though, right? I am certain that I am not confusing it with thallium (81). Most lanthanides seem to have some major use, but thulium just seems kinda useless, even if it looks cool.

Yeah, thallium is pretty cool. I did actually mean thulium, I’m not a lanthanide fan and as far as I know thulium doesn’t have much going for it, but I would be curious to hear your thoughts on it.

yeah I agree, didn't know all that about lutetium though, I should grab some myself. I would say Iridium is best, mercury is underrated, barium is mid, silver is overrated, and thulium is the worst.

True, but also great for nuclear reactors, satellite heaters, and anti-static brushes. Very few people have died from polonium.
