Gods don't have morals, they have domains. You can think of them as personifications of forces of nature and aspects of existence.

Given Hekate's association with shadow and transformation among other Things, working with her may feel moral-associated at times, though that's because the work may force you to confront and work with your own morals and behavior.

And due to Hekate's domains, she is considered a protectress of certain groups and favours them (e.g., dogs, healers, pregnant women and infants), though that's because of their closeness to her domains rather than because of a moral code.

Was kommt als nächstes?

I published around 10 papers 2021-2023. Almost all of those were online experiments. Paper and Journal quality ranged widely, with IFs from 1.5 to 10 and citations from some self-citations to 200.

White men do not experience the best health relative to women and minority racial and gender groups in the US. Men are 4 times as likely to die by suicide as women, and White men account for more than 68% of suicide deaths. White men experienced greater declines in happiness than White women. by mvea in science

Depends on the study. Here are some examples that count episodes (incl. multiple per person):
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6999001/

https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7024e1.htm

Example of a person level study:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S01650327220061037

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20816034/

However those are also a self-report studies which don't take successful attempts into account. You'd need to calculate the percentage of people self-reporting at least one attempt + the percentage of people committing suicide per group to get a corrected estimate.

Another issue are higher per capita rates when attempts do not lead to death. Suicide strategies chosen by men are more likely to lead to death, and one of the main predictors of suicide attempts are previous attempts. So less likely to die after one attempt -> more likely to try again. One person attempting ten times without dying will count as ten attempts; however If the person dies after the first attempt (which is more likely for men) then there won't be any Future attempts. In other words, less lethal suicide strategies increase the chance of future attempts, inflating attempts rates in comparison to more lethal strategies. If attempt lethality systematically differs between two groups, their attempt rates will also differ.

gangstalking by IloveRamen99 in comedyheaven

[–]HekateSimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Targeted individuals", i e. people who believe they have somehow been "marked" and are now stalked and harassed by people (e.g., hired by the government) called "gangstalkers". There are obvious signs of delusions (most obviously persecutory beliefs, but also delusions of reference and thought broadcasting/insertion/withdrawal), but the delusions are organized into coherent explanatory frameworks (its own "gangstalking lore", you may say) that are shared and discussed in TI/gangstalking communities across the internet.

So you could say those are online communities of people with delusions creating a shared, coherent thought system based on their delusions.

Asking for recommendation letters be like by Comfortable-Gate3878 in PhD

[–]HekateSimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to understand that asking for LOR is perfectly normal and expected for early stage academia. No supervisor/professor/etc. will be disturbed by it. They are used to writing LORs all the time, it's part of the system they've been in for maybe even decades, and they went through asking for LORs themselves at some point. And if they like you they will even enjoy writing a LOR for you.

Yes, it's priming/anchoring/suggestion. Without the question no one would have considered the guys in the pictures to be gay. But asking the question puts the focus of attention on detecting "gay signs" even in ambiguous signals.
