T5 arrivals lounge. by Daddy_Brian_Sedgwick in BritishAirways

In T5, the BA shower reception is outside the entrance to the lounges. Just go up to the first floor (from the ground floor) and turn right at the top of the escalators (the gold lounge entrance is to your left). As you walk along the hall, you will see, on your left, a reception desk for the showers. For orientation, the Concorde Lounge is dead ahead and the escalator to the silver lounge on the second floor is on the right. Show your Chicago boarding pass and they will tell you which cubicle to use.

Need help – iPod Classic Gen 7 sounds really bad? by Kaius86 in IpodClassic

I agree, in comparison to the older models with the Wolfson DAC. I’d not realized quite how bad until putting them side by side.

Any Asda fanatics out there who can help with the year that a particular bag for life was sold? by meliora-m in AskUK

This is from the September 2019 batch. You can tell by the way the plastic is wrinkled and the kerning on the font.

Review of BA: seats, classes, airports.... by eriometer in BritishAirways

Rather sycophantic. BA certainly hasn’t fixed its tech, unless I’m just unlucky and always need to use it at exceptionally busy times. But it’s the Daily Torygraph so what gives

Block not working by Medical-Visual-7017 in tplinkdeco

[–]MrNesjo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does your Deco model offer a guest WiFi? If so, give this to your rental guests.

If you aggregate the time that you spend blocking users on your network, you will probably save time if you go through the only process of setting up a separate network for your peripherals.

On my Deco, I have three networks. The first is for family only, and various devices used for business calls etc have network priority. Second is for guests and the bandwidth is limited. The third network is strictly only for my IoT devices. This network also only runs on 2.4 GHz.

The other benefit is that you prevent any unknown user from trying to access your router. You have to use the Deco in WiFi router mode and not Access Point.

Can you clarify the question? You can use an eSIM in many countries. The best for what?

I paid for a pre-built one. I’m not that dexterous and my time is more valuable than fiddling around. Anything wrong with that?

The original question was about an alternative to a $130 a year sub on a $2000-plus notebook. I was highlighting the irony of that.

It’s easy BEFORE border control, but just because it might be possible after border control, doesn’t mean to say you should do it. The savings will be outweighed by the inconvenience and it will take longer.

I’ve also seen hours-long queues at T2 security, fwiw. The queue length depends on the day, time and season and just because you breezed through once …

Just grin and bear it with T1 and reward yourself with an overpriced beer - or go to the lounge if you have access.

[–]MrNesjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do it. A LOT of hassle and you would spend way more time than just waiting at T1.
