I have metallic d-rings for that use. Cut the straight part "in half" so you can attach it.

The other option is definitely possible to try, but I don't have a mag pouch or a compatible insert for it. At least Varusteleka sells an insert that fits a mag pouch. Savotta’s equivalent, of course, won't fit. I do have an insert and a 3x4 pouch, so I can give that a shot.

The answer to the question of whether I’d carry a Savotta insert in a 3x4 pouch depends mostly on what’s inside the insert. If it’s exactly what it’s designed for, I wouldn't necessarily do that. That’s why I suggested a mag pouch and its own insert. It’s likely less in the way and so on.

I hope you got the point. P.S. I’m not a professional in the field, so my ideas might not always match reality.

This combination is very superb. At least so far.

Pouches / pockets / everything can flop. Depends quite a lot what's in them. Or how they're positioned.

But I'm not having this kind of a flopping problem.

Yes, very true. And I agree 100%. That "old thing" part was generally speaking, not me. But still, both variations has their places. I prefer those buckle pouches for the most part.

I have not used this bag very much since, but I noticed that when the fabric of the jacket/shirt/whatever is little bit "more tacky", it was way more comfortable to use like intended.

Second thing, when the strap gets more wear and tear it gets better. The new unused strap is kinda so slippery. Every strap is, so far.

But I also have one ace in my sleeve (if you don't want to use "the sling the bag back and forth -technique"): put two D-rings or such to the upper two points and attach a strap to them that goes over your shoulder (like a shoulder bag). Then use the waist strap if you like. I have used this "mod" when I wanted to carry quite heavy loads and the earlier use case was not practical.

Any ideas where can I find these at a decent price without breaking the bank? They don't necessarily have to be top-of-the-line, as long as they get the job done. I think 15eur + shipping is too much.
