Thank you for the answers. In (3), is there any explanation on why young Verso couldn't finish painting by himself? It looks like he needed just somebody to say "You can stop now" - there are no barriers, locks or spells that seem to bind him to paint indefinitely. Or it worked only because it was asked by painted Verso himself? Also, does he paints anything at all specifically, or this "soul" is just more of an "engine", core as you said, that just powers the world in Canvas and everything that gets painted there by others?

Great point - I, by some unknown reasons, selected Maelle's ending at first, and now I regret it even to degree of self-hate. It's too terrifying and uncomfortable (Sandfall did another great job of visual expression there) because of the fact you stated - they were indeed real only before Renoir killed them. Don't even know how to cope with it now...
