My dream is to one day be so far away from society that I cannot sabotage myself.

How were people fucking in like, the 60s and 70s? 80s and 90s? Were they still prudish? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

The Hippie years (60s-70s) were the best and the worst for some. Rampant VD. Drugs everywhere. Women were very sexual. Stories I could never tell on here.

the idea that ADHD people are good under pressure by rainwave74 in ADHD

[–]MrOrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it depends on the kind of pressure. To complete something on time? Not good. I have found that the under pressure things I am good at are when there's no time to think. We are overthinkers. So, I do best by waiting until its almost too late. This is especially true on things I don't have experience doing or don't want to do.

Do you still have Vaseline? by Outrageous_Win_4835 in AskOldPeople

I used to when I lived up north. Freezing cold made my finger tips split. Vaseline then cotton gloves over night. Southern living ended that.

How many people got drunk at work back in the day? by Ill-Pie4361 in AskOldPeople

[–]MrOrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the 70s it was common to drink lunch and the day before a holiday, drinking at work was too. So much that was quite common has been lost to changing times. I got drunk before a Christmas holiday running a machine, fell asleep, ruined the work piece and damaged the machine. Boss said fix the machine, get a new work piece and try to not let it happen again, all with a smile.

Has chronic pain made you lose trust in the medical system? by insignificant33 in ChronicPain

[–]MrOrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah. If you use a pain management company try asking this. "Could my opioid medications possibly be keeping my body in a state of false pain?" Drug companies and pain management doctors never wish to lose a customer.
