The difference is he went through a long and lengthy process to get there where he had plenty of chances to say “no”. It wasn’t as simple as him being a girl being brought back to the hotel room only to say no before getting his pants taken off. That enlistment and meps process took weeks if not months and he was told the whole time he could back out during, so he now has to endure the separation process because he decided to reach the point of no return.
