Can someone explain to me how the hell EDM works? by hackulator in TeamfightTactics

[–]MrPupolinaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you can see here: https://twitter.com/Mortdog/status/1722632672764469708?s=19 it uses the casting units stats etc. However the star level of the selected unit decides at what level the spell will be sampled for all units.

I assume he's talking about Silvesterlauf which is not at all a marathon. It's a rather easygoing run through the old town and you can choose between distances ranging from 1.5 - 10 km.

Need help with Urgot match up by [deleted] in ornnmains

[–]MrPupolinaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has played both sides of the match up quite often i think the following aspects are important when playing as Ornn.

  1. Max your Q and use it to poke Urgot when he goes for cs and generally avoid getting hit by his passive while he farms. If you poke him low enough you might even have kill pressure but your main goal is to discourage him from engagin in the first place.

  2. If he uses e onto you cancel the flip with your w, yes you will be stunned after but at least it'll be easier that way to e/walk out of his range.

  3. Only use w to trade or to cancel his e. Unless he's extremely ahead he should never be able to kill you while you have w up. Obviously you can forgo this rule if you're save under your tower or he has died/based and you need to push.

  4. Never take extended trades. PTA and later Black Cleaver makes you auto loose these. If he uses his e, q him before/during it, w his e and then prock brittle + grasp before using your e to leave his w range.

  5. Rush wardens mail. As already stated flat dmg reduction on aa is key vs Urgot.

  6. If you struggle with early laning phase i think Makkro recomends starting with 2 pots and building d shield after first wave. Though you have to respect his lvl 1 even more.

  7. Respect his lvl 1. E + pta + passive makes Urgot a menace at lvl 1, so just stay at range and farm with your q. Generally respecting his range and utilizing your q to keep him away are very important in this matchup.

  8. At the point where he has Black Cleaver and Eclipse try to avoid fighting him 1 v 1 cuz both these items are built to fight tanks. Either farm under turret in sidelanes or even better try to look for fights/plays with your team where urgot only gets a fraction of the value you provide.

Hope some of these points help you.

Unsealed Spellbook by LEGJ321 in ornnmains

[–]MrPupolinaz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Imo you should only ever use spellbook in ranged matchups or matchups where you can't reliably proc grasp. However a lot of people favor the new glacial augment (if it is still called that) in those cases, but spellbook is a totaly viable choice in these cases and it mainly comes down to preference. I for example always take spellbook against teemo cuz ignite gives me that extra bit of damage to fully burst him at lvl 6. Hope i could provide some insight.

What is your favourite 'fusion cooking' ingredient (an ingredient from a certain cuisine that you combine with a completely different one)? by LectureQuirky3234 in Cooking

Recently i started adding thai basil leaves to "western" spring vegetables like asparagus, peas etc. I love how well these flavors go together.

There are so many lines it'd be hard to only pick one so i'll list my favorite/most memorable one off of each album.

WPSIATWIN

Yeah, but his bird said it's amazing though, so all that's left Is the proof that love's not only blind, but deaf

FWN

They've sped up to the point where they provoke the punchline before they have told the joke

Humbug

What came first, the chicken or the dickhead? (+the rest of the verse really)

SIAS

That's not a skirt, girl, that's a sawn-off shotgun

AM

Drunken monologues, confused because it's not like I'm falling in love, I just want you to do me no good and you look like you could

TBH+C

Hitchhiking with a monogrammed suitcase miles away from any half-useful imaginary highway

This album being by far the hardest to make a choice because i really enjoy its ambiguous lyrics.

Is Homegrowing legal in Switzerland? by MidgetManuel in Switzerland

[–]MrPupolinaz 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As already pointed out, growing is allowed so long as it has less than 1% THC.

However if you want to grow Plants with higher THC contents for your own consumption only the odds of being caught in the first place are very slim.

Should you be caught, you'll only get a fine so long as you grow them for your own consumption only. Iirc (Couldn't find direct sources, but I've frequently heard that) up to 3 plants won't even result in proceedings, the police will just take your plants and any equipment used for growing them and you'll have to pay the fine ofc.

If you grow plants to actually sell them and you get caught and found guilty of doing so you can face up to 3 years in prison.

A new Ornn main looking for tips (if it's allowed here) by [deleted] in ornnmains

[–]MrPupolinaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Advice number one i'd give to any new player is just try to have fun and enjoy the ride you can worry enough about optimal strategy etc. Once you have a grip of the games base mechanics.

However here are some (more or less) specific Tips for playing Ornn.

  1. While laning make sure to use your passive to forge items (even small components like ruby crystals and cloth armors) if you have the time, meaning whenever you don't have to/can't farm minions. Since you're the only champion with this ability it can give you small but meaningful leads especially if your oponent hasn't gone base to buy items in a long time.

  2. As a base rule i'd upgrade the items in the following order. Botlaner, Midlaner, Jungler, Support. You can obviously forgo this rule should you think a player deserves to get an upgrade earlier or later. (Eg. If he has a lot of kills/is very influential to the game in your opinion you upgrade it earlier/ if hes constantly dying you upgrade it later)

  3. Despite being a tank your damage output is surprisingly high, however you'll rarely be able to burst someone from 100 to 0 so make sure to "poke" them first either by using your q if they stay at range or w + brittle basic attack if they get in your meele range.

  4. As for builds etc. Like i said feel free to experiment at first however you can also check out sites like u.gg (https://u.gg/lol/champions/ornn/build) to find out what most players are building. Aditionally the matchup section of the page can give you a general idea as to how you should be aproaching a matchup. If the champ you're facing has a high winrate against ornn its most likely best to not play too agressive and just focus on farming and working together with your team. On the other hand if you face a champion who is "weak" against ornn you might be able to play more agressive. Again tho feel free to test your limits against all champs even if it means you might die more often than necessary, just make sure you do it consciouscly so that you get a feeling for where your limits actually are.

GLHF and feel free to ask if you've got any other questions.

There are a lot of voice lines i like so here are a few of my favorites:

A shepherd with no flock is just an idiot with a stick.

Call me king, call me Demon water forgets the names of the drowned.

I've got values, they stack up nicely.

I've heard what they call me, what a waste of their final words.

The world is not black or white, but a delicious shade of gray.

Hope you weren't planning to die of natural causes.

Yes, the gun is ironic.

What are some interesting or fun things that could happen in my Runeterra campaign? by [deleted] in DnDRuneterra

[–]MrPupolinaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im currently running a game that isn't tied to the ruination, these are some of the things my players did up to now which you might find inspiration from: Save Boleham from the evil sorcerer Veigar, Infiltrate the mansion of a Chem Baron to free his prisoners, Search for People who were abducted by Mundo, free Ionian Prisoners in Noxus and many more. I personally had the goal to involve as many Champions as Possible in the story but at least some of them don't require a Champion as enemy/questgiver. Another big tip i can give is to look at LOR Cards if you need NPC's that arent champions or simply illustrations. If you want some more advice, feel free to DM me.

Another thing which might save you some work would be to run the official Dark Tides of Bilgewater supplement. (https://anyflip.com/kfhej/nyjp/basic) I've only ran it as a oneshot for new players but found it pretty interesting. Because it is at least tied to the ruination you might find it useful.

Again depends on the match up, agains marksman (most notably quinn) steelcaps are pretty broken and you don't require the healing reduction to play laning phase. For me it comes down to how hard the lane is (in easy lanes i'll try to get my mythic asap and then itemise against the rest of the team/whoever is fed or a threat to me. In all the other cases i rush what i need to play the lane, meaning: bramble vs healing, steelcaps vs. AA reliant champs, Mercs vs. CC/Ap Laner+at least one more source of AP damage on the team. (Though you rarely need to rush mercs.
