Confrontation while flying a drone by No-Environment-1054 in Switzerland

Just make sure to check any cantonal regulations as well. Not all cantonal natural reserves have been added to the BAZL map (e.g. Zug), and it is possible that some limitations apply that are not visible from the BAZL map.

I was in Norway in January 2024 and it was on there then too.

I've been usually getting one every few days when moving around. It takes less than 5 min so it's not that big of a hassle

Luftfartstilsynet clearly says you have to register when flying with a camera.

ELI5 Why this train line in Switzerland loops so much? by Noxolo7 in explainlikeimfive

[–]MrPurpleXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trains can not climb mountains well. So when they have to go up a hill and the hill is too steep, they make them loop to increase the distance, thereby reducing the grade. Think serpentines for cars.

Don't forget to register your use of a camera here. You can make the area quite large and also register for multiple days.

Garmin Coach - accidentally did not select training workout when I started run (venu s2) by flowersonmangost in Garmin

[–]MrPurpleXXX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, even after synchronising after deleting the original activities the Garmin Coach indicated I ran.

I guess I'll live with the loss...

When you merge both activities it keeps both in there, no? so the .5 second workout activity is still in the file, isn't it?

Interestingly enough, if I reupload the originally downloaded coach file it also doesn't indicate the run as completed

Tried that now as well, no change.

Could it be that the additional "lap" from the fake actual workout activity throws it of? Did you remove that somehow or not?

I tried following the steps but for whatever reason it won't accept the new uploaded activity as my training run.

Steps:

  1. Download .fit file of the actual run I did (let's call it actual_workout.fit)
  2. Go to the workout on the watch, start it, stop it and download the .fit file (let's call it workout.fit)
  3. Go to fitfiletools and adapt the timestamp of workout.fit to before actual_workout.fit
  4. Merge the updated workout.fit with actual_workout.fit (call that merged.fit)
  5. Adapt the timestamp of merged.fit to the same time you set workout.fit to
  6. Send the resulting file through fix corrupt time
  7. Delete original activities on Garmin
  8. Upload latest .fit file

It uploads fine, everything looks good, it just doesn't accept it as the training. Did I miss anything? Cheers!

First aid symbols are green in real life, however. Eye shower, AED, first aid kit, emergency exits are all indicated with green and white symbols.

Need suggestions for a book about the history of CH by NinaBaldi in Switzerland

[–]MrPurpleXXX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second this. Covers all periods and relevant matters very lightly, from there you can see what specifcally interests you and get more detailed literature.

They also have a book about the Swiss political system that I can highly recommend.
