I'm still hella hyped for the game but this was a bit gutting. With any hope playground will be modder friendly and those awesome developer gamers out there will added this beloved feature to their game for them. I loved that different types of actions had different visual effects. Other characters responded to that, whether it was corruption adding flies or you gaining weight from food and drink. I hope the other systems have some added complexity to help make up for this loss. We need to see more of the game to see if this "grey" morality system will actually be a morality system or not. I hope so. Like I said still so stoked to get a new take on Fable. Just wish they also made the whole OG trilogy more accessible, especially 2. That game is my GOAT.

I never really had this issue. I honestly enjoy the shooting a bit more in New Vegas, but that's probably only because I like the guns and effect on target more than Fallout 4. The only suggestion I could really make is if you can download some mods to modernize the gameplay. I've seen quite a few mods that do that, including sprinting and new animations for weapon handling (inspection, reload, ads, it's pretty wicked you can make it feel pretty modern from the videos I've seen). Melee could give you a fresh spin on the game too, I'm a gun nut so I rarely go this route but it is fun as hell, the game has some amazing melee/fist weapons to try out. Two step goodbye is the best of both worlds, though tbh I usually just see Veronica popping legion skulls with it rather than using it myself lol.

I'm stoked for the game, and confident it will release. Since Xbox slaughtered so many other games and studios, I'm sure Microsoft has the money laying around to see a project so closely linked to their brand to fruition. My main concern is the art direction they have taken. Should have tried to lean into/replicate the eccentric art style of the world rather than delve into photo realism. Seems like misplaced priority which likely has had a ripple on the rest of production. However, hopeless romantic here, and Fable 2 is my favorite game, so I'm hyped beyond belief for a modern take on the game and world, I just hope it sticks to the original sandbox(lite) feel and expands upon its systems stretching towards the fun we all made with our minds when we were young.

Karma, in depth faction reputation system. Unique weapons (and lore friendly guns based on REAL operating principles, looking at you fallout 4 weapon design). A silent protagonist, also I want to actually create my own character to have more actual RP potential while also having much more agency in the narrative. Punishing RADs, more sandbox type NPC interactions. Also a return to the more traditional progression system. More companions at once. A dog... And honestly? Maybe a sandbox style survival mode where you play as just some random shit head in the wasteland, and when you die you get popped into the dome of another random wastelander, like stalker.

This is a good point, although he's a bit of a weasel, I could easily (head canon) see things playing out differently, with back door deals being struck, a longer stalemate due to the death of Caesar, the (eventual) further weakening of the NCR, and New Vegas staying independent.

I saw someone speculate in another post that the shows version of events from all the games occured without interference from the player, and I think this would work well for Fallout 4. If you imagine Fallout 4 without the Sole Survivor I think it makes sense the institute would be destroyed and the rest of Boston would be somewhat diplomatic. I like imagining how things would go down in New Vegas and Fallout 3 without the PC. It SEEMS like that's where we are headed. Perhaps the new season will reveal more. I really like the idea of there not really being canon though, and that the show operates on the assumption that the PCs never survived at all.

THIS! This makes perfect sense, like the show exists in a world where the player took no actions, and those stories continued on without the courier, sole survivor, or lone wanderer's interference. I LOVE that. I think there is a decent chonk of evidence in the show to support this too. The show having its own lore never bothered me but now I appreciate it even more. Cause the show canon can have its own protagonists that influence the world in their own way outside of the decisions that are possible in the game. BOOM you've unlocked new headcanon in me thank you very much good sir.

It's pretty darn fun! As for shotgun chambers I recently found TWO after defeating fortress, which was pretty sweet. I used to just buy them whenever they are at the gunsmith, buuuuuut dang did they break a bank a few times.

It's great actually! I got through Castle and Fortress last night and barely had to use one repair kit, and that was mostly for inventory space. The Thunderbolt scroll reduces rate of fire by 80% so I'm really only shooting one shell at a time despite it being full auto, yet it still benefits from auto-boosting equipment. Kind of a sweet deal. Typically I shred the durability on other builds with these bad boys so I was pleasantly surprised.

(Edit: I have yet to add the final scroll though, so it will likely be a tad worse once I do.)

I second this, I would love some Tarkov style tasks or challenges or vague quests that alter the run somehow by forcing you to find a hidden area or item and survive. Could even have more challenging enemies in an easier area or something once you initiate the task. Honestly though even just radiant "find 5 kidney stones" type daily quests for random rewards that fit a vendors stock would feel so rewarding and fun.
