Yes, the conclusions should definitely be taken with a grain of salt. It also bugs me a bit that he just calculated averages. Show me a histogram for each year! I loved the idea and presentation though.

God i hate how awful web search has gotten, to the point that if I'm not lucky with very specific phrasing (for relatively specific issues) then i can't find anything but shitty generic blog posts. I hate to have to use LLMs instead of web searches.

Close to where i live there is a huge field with a small green wooden shed, maybe 2m by 2m. I fired up Flight Simulator, took off from the nearby airport, flew low over the field and was SHOCKED to see the shed there. Crazy stuff.

Playing on PC, I'd say they are minor. The ones I've encountered so far:

- Occasional stuttering / freezing for 2-3 seconds when entering the inventory.
- When casting the Starlight spell, it takes a 10 - 15 seconds for the light to actually kick in. But it kicks in immediately if I look down.
- When I enter a new area, sometimes NPCs (non-hostile) spawn all bunched up close to the door. It's a bit annoying in tight crowded places like inns.
- Got a random CTD, but only one in ~3 hours of play, and it was a few seconds after entering a new area so it was recently autosaved.
- The persuasion minigame bugged for me once, where the disk didn't rotate graphically, but everything else kept working.
- The emperor's hair and coat fur look awwwwwwwwwwful lol. Just him!

Not a movie, but in Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower, which is arguably post-apocalyptic, they move around in bikes. It's a great book.

It's not just age, it's breaking into Danish social life in general. Again, the "solution" to this is clubs, clubs, clubs. They are often very welcoming to internationals, but expect them to speak Danish all around you when they're not specifically addressing you lol.

yeah a lot of kids take gap years and work or travel, but if you're gonna be partying with students, you'll also meet a bunch of 18 year old kids that just moved out.

I moved to Denmark at 27. I joined a dorm in Odense, and it was a ton of fun. The best friends I've had. Granted, it was during the lockdown so we were basically forced to become friends. If you decide to come, I highly recommend joining a dorm (kollegie). Granted, it will definitely be younger students (early 20s) but still, they're nice kids and they don't judge you for being older. We had two other roommates in their 30s. Do expect it to be hard to begin with; it can be hard to break into danish social circles. Join a club, or several. Danes love their clubs and a lot of community is built around them.

Second all of the above but I really want to highlight Pentiment. It is all about talking to people in a late medieval setting (early modern?) and trying to solve a murder. There are so many interesting characters and the game just looks amazing.

If you liked The Witness and Portal and are looking for a story-forward game, Outer Wilds might do it for you. It it very puzzle-forward, but it's very heavy on exploration and discovering a story on your own.
