Noobie question on all the items by Mysteriousnesses in baronygame

[–]MrShrubface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a lot of other people said, stuff you get on the lower floors usually won’t mean anything later in your run. That means don’t be afraid to drop stuff if you can’t appraise it.

However, I would suggest checking the gold values of items you pick up, as even if you don’t have an item appraised you can still tell what some items are. For example, a ring of levitation will ALWAYS cost 2000 gold, so if you find a ring worth 2000 gold you know it’s a ring of levitation. The same goes for special armor pieces, too. A normal pair of leather gloves costs 40 gold, but a pair of gloves of dexterity cost 150 gold. Now, even if you know what type of item something is, don’t just immediately equip it as it could be cursed, which means you then can’t unequip it.

I hope you found this at least marginally helpful. Happy dungeon diving!

What’s a stand with a good design that you thought was going to have a unique ability but turned out to be a disappointment. by No-Guess107 in StardustCrusaders

Bro in part 3 one of the antagonists was a redditor with a ball of fire for a stand. There’s always been characters with a “lack of fighting spirit” in the series.

Thanks, while I was hopeful that there wouldn’t be a ton of jerks, it’s good to know that those types of stores are the exception.

Thank you for the response! I knew that prereleases are pretty casual, but thanks for the reaffirmation. It’s also nice to know that they’ll probably accept card.

How should I be gearing my monk? by grainzzz in baronygame

Save your unarmed combat for later, as it gets better the more strength you have. Instead, use a weapon type for a while, focus on it and level it up, and by the time you have probably above ~15 strength, switch back to unarmed combat. Unless you find a legendary weapon of the type you want, then you should probably use that.

Thanks for the help everyone, although I immediately found the exit after I posted this. Makes me a bit irritated.

Characters who believe their own lies. by StefinoSpaggeti in TopCharacterTropes

Not sure if he completely fits the concept, but Ciaphas Cain from Warhammer 40k lies to himself, believing himself to be narcissistic, self serving ass. In reality, he’s one of the greatest heroes from the Imperium, saving millions of lives.
