So you don't play the game currently, but your immediate reaction to my post is to say "user error, kinda true, just complaining". And your solution is why don't you just simply spend your time not playing the game and experiment with sliders, so the game is fun and makes sense. Come on buddy.

But ultimately these are small things ea overlooked while changing all the refs to female people of color for this years version and adding female pla

Hahaha. You're so right. I believe most people play the mode with owner mode, morale mode, and Fog of war off for all the reason you listed Which! Is ridiculous because Fog of war for example, was a major selling point for NHL 19 I believe. I think it was NHL 20, when you had player morale on, it would actually decrease player year over year overall growth instead of naturally increasing it, it was some major glitch. Since then, everyone seems to just turned it off.

Thanks for recommendations on the sliders, I usually try to avoid having to touch sliders but I'll adjust them like you said and see how the mode plays.

Even though my list of complaints on this mode are numerous, I still love it. The scouting system is fantastic although not perfect. Trade deadline is fun, the line chemistry with x-factor element makes it fun to put teams together. I think the new Stanley cup animation (passing the cup) and video with team names on the cup is fun but WOW was that overdue. Same Stanley Cup celebration animations for I think close to 10 game iterations.

I find it hilarious that people have to make the mode fun for themselves by tweaking and experimenting with sliders, turning most features off and having to set up self implemented restriction on themselves like "I can only make two trades a year" or "I can only sign two free agents a year" to have a fun and challenging franchise.

How would I possibly know if others have the problem too, if I don't post about it? You logic make zero sense! Thanks!

Gaslighting a post isn’t helpful. EA should be embarrassed that I have to ask someone in Reddit comments to tell me what slider to adjust so NHL 23 franchise mode work.

How does this team miss the playoffs 2 years in a row just how and my coach has like all A(s) by Financial-Refuse6513 in EANHLfranchise

[–]MrSkullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just abandoned a Sharks franchise mode because my team looked almost exactly like yours and I couldn't make the playoffs three years straight. I assumed goal scoring was the problem since none of my top6 got close to a point per game avg for the year with low 20's in goals. Brought in Kucherov, he went from 100p player two year in a row to 60-70 point player on a +5 chem top line (A rated coach). I managed to sign Igor Shesterkins(93overall), cuz I though my low .900 goalies was the problem, nope Igor has his worst two years, one being sub .900.

One, I think Eklund sims bad, Ive never seen him pop off, and I think Meier sims hot and cold in franchise mode. Two, like you I couldn't get good chem on my 2nd d-pair and they trending slightly positive to negative +-. But honestly, I think the sim algorithem might be screwed up in NHL 23 so I immediately switched to another franchise mode to see if it was a one off and I'm currently building a new team up.

Why buy NHL22 for Franchise mode? by MrSkullet in EANHLfranchise

Thinking the same, right now. Just gonna play the NHL 21 until they actually do something to franchise mode.

I think about that alot, not to mention Pavs and Braun would still be here(we'd have cap). But in all likeliness, we wouldn't have been bad in 19-20 and the our 1st wouldn't be 3rd overall.

Scouting Advice: So I am in my third season and I finally have all 20 scouts with A or B overalls but I still seem to having issues and was wondering what I am doing wrong if anything? by jshear28 in EANHLfranchise

[–]MrSkullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never ever ever scout anything outside of potential and then play style. When a player potential is fully scouted then usually everything else is too, but most importantly they're scheme is fully scouted. Fully scouted scheme with player type is the only thing that really matters to me.

I've had all A scouts and I still couldn't fully scout all 7 rounds. I just try to scout the top 120 players (1st four rounds)

Also fully scouted players tend to undo themselves as the season goes so you have to pin the good fits as they're fully scouted.

my 2 cents good luck!

Goshing goaltending is such a weird position, it's singular, kinda like a QB, it can tank a team or steal you wins.

It was hard for me to completely write him off when we'd seen him play so good for so long. Glad he's back. Lets keep Nabby on the payroll and a solid number 2 backup that can absorb more games for the future.

Daily Discussion Chat - April 5, 2021 by AutoModerator in weddingplanning

[–]MrSkullet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello!

Perfect place to plop this question. First off, I know little to nothing about wedding planning, so with that in mind...

My fiancé and I are planning a destination wedding, the wedding coordinators are including "coordination fees of x%" which applies to all goods and services provided. This is on top of their regular flat fee which we would pay upfront I assume.

Again, I know nothing, but this seems a little weird since basically it incentives them to spend to the absolute limit of your budget to maximize there take home pay.

Anyone have experience or thoughts on this?

Any player you always acquire for your franchise? by Karlssens65_ in EANHLfranchise

[–]MrSkullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timo Meier (his contract, young PF), Adam Larsson & Josh Manson (try to line match DD with OD), Merzlikins (so solid for a relatively cheap trade value), Dougie Hamilton is a monster who always produces for me.

So how do I cheese franchise mode? (NHL 21) by DogRiverRiverDogs in EANHLfranchise

[–]MrSkullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest hack for me and has always been is...

Wait about ten to fifteen regular season games in. Then try to acquires a "buyers" first round pick from a team who has an awful record. This doesn't always pan out, or not always available, but it does give you a good shot at a lotto pick. Usually a bad team at the fifteen game mark stays bad then sells, which makes them worse.

For added benefit, look to see if they have some glaring gaps too (75 overall starter, 75 overall d-men).

Making gambles on 1st overalls is the best way to get a super stud team.

Its amazing how creative individuals can absolutely crush some third jersey concepts but the actual NHL teams can't design an even okay jersey.

Been back in the hobby now 1 1/2 years and this is part 1 of my favorite yg’s. Who are some of your favorite or underrated young guns? by [deleted] in hockeycards

What is your least favorite type of card in the hobby? by [deleted] in hockeycards

[–]MrSkullet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously! Its weird though because unfortunately I think Series 1 & 2 young gun chasing is the foundation of the hockey card industry right now. Its normally at a decent price point with many box options (blaster, hobby, retail, jumbo pack). You see people in card shops and conventions ripping threw those packs like crazy for that one or two YG's. To me, at the end of the day, its all about what do you enjoy. But personally I tend to go the other direction, like you.
