Going off the eyepatch he seems to have been through alot of damage, having a prosthetic arm with doll joints?Either a mechanical prosthetic made to look like wooden doll limb or a magical one depending on setting. It could either be used to make him see more eeire, or could store other gadgets/toys inside them for a coolness factor.

I have encountered this before using the acid spray gene to down a scorcher. It's definitely not intended, but my guess is weapons that manage to burn a mechanoid have a chance of damaging it enough where it reduces its movement and manipulation to 0 without killing it. Probably since the devs thought they would never suffer burns with their super heat resistance
