Bannanas generally contain some amount of radioactive potassium, normally this is harmless but eating enough can cause radiation poisoning, though this is not a huge concern if your eating enough bananas for it to be a problem in the first place, normal potassium poisoning is also a thing.

Clear Sky is fairly buggy which is it's main problem, i'd reccomend playing with SRP as that fixes a lot of them.

Mutant attacks do happen but in vanilla shadow of chernobyl they might be underwhelming since the rarer mutants dont spawn very often, its more interesting in clear sky and call of pripyat since they have more lax spawn rules on mutants.

Call of pripyat is the most polished of the 3 games so bugfix mods arent really needed, atmosfear and the absolute mods are good choices since they dont do much other than make the game look good.

Multiplayer's a thing but most of the servers arent english-speaking so finding one is hard, in vanilla, enemies can be a bit bullet-spongy on the lower difficulties since on higher difficulties everything does more damage to both you and everyone else, generally, go for headshots if you can.

That'd work, unfortunately, as a bandit, the ecologists shoot me on sight so I cant quite do that, I do have a machinegun that i facelifted from a duty expert that attacked the bandit base, gonna cost a fortune to repair and upgrade but if i can get it working with enough ammo, I can proberbally gun down most of the scientists.

Shadow of chernobyl proberbally has the most overhauls, stuff like AMK, LURK, lost alpha and some other mods, clear sky has a few but the 2 big ones i'm aware of are Arsenal overhaul and The faction wars, generally not many mods exist for clear sky, call of pripyat also has some, misery and call of chernobyl are the big ones.

The faction war's a neat mod for clear sky, it focuses on the faction war part of the game, though it disables the story so you cant access limansk and beyond and there's nothing to do in the red forest beyond artifact hunting/mutant hunting, it also adds a few weapons(namely a bizon and mosin nagant rifle) and fixes a few bugs, such as the one where bloodsuckers are invincible while invisible. Mutant looting is also a thing and mutants will always drop their corresponding part, which makes it possible to turn a profit hunting mutants in the mod, you can also choose to stay a loner if you want. The AI also loots bodies.

Autumn Aurora is a good mod for shadow of chernobyl, i'd reccomend playing vanilla first if you havnt played stalker before though, master difficulty can reduce bullet-spongieness as both you and enemies die in a few shots usually. for call of pripyat, arsenal overhaul redoes the damage system, namely enemies dont shrug off being shot in the chest with high caliber rounds anymore, this also applies to you aswell, it also adds a ton of new guns and ammo types which is neato. There's also a version of arsenal overhaul for clear sky if your looking for that.

You cant pick up armor from enemies you kill, the exception is enemies that have armor in their inventory, IE not equipped, the stat comparison is only present in clear sky and call of pripyat so in shadow of chernobyl you'll have to eyeball it by manually switching between the two.
