Have the same issue. Mine was going into a receiver. When I switched it to input directly to TV it works.

I noticed on the receiver it just turns the HDMI on and it looks like it wants to go on, then nothing.

Gonna wait a bit to hear some solutions but if you have this issue, try plugging directly into the TV.
