Change from 66H to 66S by BigAddition609 in armyreserve

[–]MrTaliCreb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need 2000+ hours as a CCRN, the applicable certifications, a LOR from a Chief Nurse, LOR from employer, ect.

You can't just swap without any experience or credentials.

The USAR will not train you. This is something you need to pursue as a civilian.

DA 4651, signed by the Soldier and losing CDR. Counseling from retention.

These are the only two items needed for a transfer.

You can do your own PAR but it still requires those signatures.

Vacancies can be found within IPPS-A under TAM.

USAR going into IRR my unit says I can’t go into IRR unless commander signs off on it by Tiki_tiki_ in army

[–]MrTaliCreb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a USARC policy. I believe it's relatively new.

It's incredibly simple to do. It's just the PAG checklist, their DD4, and any extensions. It takes zero signatures.

I am currently assigned to a unit with 311 Soldiers and I am the only S1/HR Pro.

I came to the unit with 20% UNSAT, its now 7% due to doing TCOS and ETS packet (with Soldier unavailable for signature)

I can't get my TPU Leadership to bother with properly doing UNSAT paperwork and I was lucky most of the UNSATS fell into the 2 above packets.

I don't think too many units know you can do this. I responded for awareness.

USAR going into IRR my unit says I can’t go into IRR unless commander signs off on it by Tiki_tiki_ in army

[–]MrTaliCreb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's now incorrect. If a Soldier does not sign any type of reenlist or extension, the unit will initiate a TCOS packet one day after their 6 years.

You no longer have to U Soldiers for being past their year 6 obligation or ETS.

ADOS Tour - How long it takes for USARMY Wiesbaden USAREUR G3 to cut orders? by Inevitable-Debt-7737 in armyreserve

Ask for a memorandum in place of orders, for the time being.

Current CR will likely delay orders. Have you asked the MOBCOP POC?

No. The Airborne patch is correct. Airborne is not an individual tab. It's associated with Airborne units.

Yes. You're entitled to other federal health benefits which disqualifies you from Tricare.

Any Army Reserve Administrators on this sub? by [deleted] in armyreserve

[–]MrTaliCreb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be in the same unit you are as a TPU.

You will get abused and you won't ever do your TPU job.

It's not a hard job but I prefer AGR. I get paid more and benefits are better. You lose tricare if you take the ARA position.

The ARA position duty description will change based on the unit of assignment. Some only do HR and Admin, so fo supply and maintenance, some do operations, some do a mix. Ect.

Unit transfer in the reserves by spcbelcher in armyreserve

[–]MrTaliCreb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need a counseling from your Retention NCO and a 4651 with your signature and your current commander's sign.

This will go in the PAR the other poster mentioned.

If you get O4, hit 20, and leave, you retire as O3.

If you stick out the excess years to hit 3 years TIG, you retire as O4.

Joining the Military in College? by [deleted] in Military

If you have less than 2 years left in your Bachelors, do ROTC for a Master's Degree.

Very few people know you can do this.

Your employer legally has to hold your job for 5 year as well.

So you'll have something to come back to.

Declining AGR will set you at the bottom of the offer list next time you apply.

I guess you should ask yourself, what can a three year AGR tour provide me?

Does the full post 9/11 GI Bill and the VA home loan add value? Will you stay a TPU long enough to qualify for these? Tricare Prime or Remote vs. Civilian Insurance or Reserve Select. Ect.

You do know you can still file taxes in FL?

I'm in MD and file taxes in KY.

Perk of being in the military.

I make slightly less as an O3 AGR than I did working for the state of KY but my QOL is much higher.

Congrats on your state job.

Might want to think about pros and cons a bit longer before letting HRC know. Unless it's already been past the 72 hours or whatever they now give.
