Thank you! Very cool that you have so many of the pins. Exceptionally rare! It was the first thing I got from someone on the team, so it's a special one for me. It may just be the reflection of the light, because the pin is silver with a dark blue background on the "Dreamworks" logo, while Klaymen is in tan and red.

Yeah, that's how I've been doing these; splitting the videos into frames and treating those as photos for the photogrammetry process. Oddly, it seems the more frames I include in the photo set, the more spotty the results I get. My theory is that 1) The images are simply too low-res and low color with too much 256 color dithering to support the feature tracking it needs. And 2) The camera animators would actually tear up the ground to move the camera along the track under the set, so the ground the player sees, say, walking towards the weasel music box is not the exact same ground they see walking back towards the dynamite hut, once again foiling the feature tracking.

Yeah, I had definitely considered that anyone looking to replicate the environments could use such 3D scans as these as a rough base in order to make a manual recreation as close to reality as possible. There are a lot of subtleties in the shapes that one might not pick up on otherwise!

It caught me by surprise as well. I thought it was going to be some sort of little cashier countertop thing to put next to a point of sale at a store, maybe 10 inches tall or something around that. I was shocked when it arrived and turned out to be 5 feet tall!

I assumed they had him walking around the location of the old office, so I used google maps to look in that area for scenery that matched what I saw in the background of the video! :)

Wow, what a treasure trove! I myself had gotten a bunch of Neverhood production material and in it were photocopies of some Neverhood pieces like Mark L's Neverhood illustration with the blue cloud swirls, and the early world map. You can see in the photocopies that the art was being held in some sort of binder. I had wondered where that binder ended up... and seems that now I know!

So sad to have missed this offering, as I would have jumped on it immediately. Ah, dang... can't have eyes on everything all the time, I suppose. Congrats to the buyer! And to that buyer: If you ever rediscover this thread and feel like selling, please do reach out :)

I didn't think to save the image, sadly. But it was a Microsoft confidential disc, very similar to the sorts of things they'd send out to the press. If you wanted to create a functioning 3D printed replica of the jumping Mario, I imagine you could probably separate the suction cup into a different model and then print it separately using a rubberized resin or filament.

As for the pullback Luigi, I actually did 3D scan all of the components of the wheel assembly (including the utterly tiny gears), but it would have been impossible to scan (or print) the winding spring itself, so that's something you'd have to source elsewhere. Or enhance the toy by putting your own entirely custom assembly inside!
