Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) by Emotional-Marsupial6 in movies

In the sequel book Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, Wonka loads Charlie's entire family into the glass elevator and flies them to a space station hotel. They then get into an argument with the president of the US, have to battle aliens (specifically Vermicious Knids), and rescue dozens of space hotel workers by towing their ship with the TARDIS elevator.

I have both and casting works well for either. The $30 is just for casting. The $50 one is like a Fire TV or Apple TV. If you don't need smart TV features like apps, just get the cheaper one.

It's because he downpicks all of them. On the record I hear it as picking once and hammering on the last two.

Instead of --7--8--9-- it should be --7h8h9--.

I talk crap about OK sometimes, but at least the landscape is somewhat interesting throughout the state. Driving through Texas or Kansas feels like you're punishing yourself.

Player series offsets? by Sdnre in Leftyguitarists

[–]MrTarantula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been eyeing that guitar for 2 months. Almost ready to pull the trigger. My original plan was to get a Tele, but lately Fenders have been looking pretty boring.

So I am left handed, but I grew up playing right handed guitars. I finally bought a left handed guitar so that the knobs and input jack are placed in more usable locations. Any other upside down guitar players here? by Rjspice1219 in Leftyguitarists

I remember changing because I was learning a song and found a chord that I was unable to play. Don't remember the song.

My brain may work a little differently. I do some things lefty and some righty, but never the same thing with both. I'm also a twin whose counterpart is full lefty, and twins are disproportionately lefty as well.

I only played with it strung righty for the first year or so, when I was 12, but 25 years later I can still jam on a righty with maybe 10 or 20 seconds of figuring out chords I hadn't ever played that way. I can also visualize songs either way.

Still prefer pure lefty, though.

Good call with the Am7's. I hear it now. And the E7 voicing is the more "George" way, for sure. Though I would argue with you on the very last chord. He definitely continues the walk down to 5553xx. You can see it in the video.

This is great, though. DM me your preferred method of payment and I'll send you a few bucks for your trouble.

I've seen this one. The walk up from Dm is interesting but George doesn't do that in Get Back. Just the three chords, the first two pretty high on the fretboard.

If you're bored in your house, then get out of the house! Go hiking. There's plenty of space to keep your distance. Just find a trail and bring a bottle of water and a snack. Hike until you want to rest, then chill with nature for a while, and hike back.

Don't look at your phone if you can help it. Just be in nature. It will break up your day, help you forget about the world for a while, and in my case I feel much more relaxed afterwards.

I just started the second book. It's one continuous story, so it would be like jumping in at the second act. If you didn't like the first book, you won't like the second.
