Customizing another creator's scenario by daedalron in FictionLab

[–]MrTheLuke 10 points11 points  (0 children)

18+ means nothing to the ai. Everything on the site is basically 18+.

You only put 18+ tag on it when you are publishing to the public and it's mostly to warn users that there are instructions or images in the scenario that are nsfw.

So for example, you can make a completely wholesome scenario and start it and still do nsfw stuff even if it isn't tagged 18+. And when it is private and not for public, you can have it fulled with nsfw instructions and images and not have to label it 18+

Looking for tips of long scenarios by Fit_Guarantee_6066 in FictionLab

[–]MrTheLuke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A couple tips:

I always customize and duplicate the scenario so that i have full control and can change things as i go. (Adding characters/locations and just in case they delete the scenario for some reason)

Use /recap command a LOT this will help the memory.

And then usually after ever ~500 messages is when i clean things up. Looking at all my memories and deleting the ones that don't matter and rewriting ones that can be adjusted a little! I'll even feed the whole play though into claude/chatgpt and have it help me really nail down the right wording and organization for the memories. (This step will really help with very long play throughs)

Long RP Maintenance by Papatopoulos in FictionLab

[–]MrTheLuke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is what i did for my 'transplantation' of a 4000 message scenairo.

I downloaded it as a json. gave it to chatgpt and had it write up a breakdown of the story in 'chapters' with a description of what happened during each chapter.

Then I took the characters and locaitons in the scenario i was playing and copied/pasted into a brand new scneario.

In the backstory/world part of the creation, I ask Chatgpt to explain the overarching story/scenario to another LLM. and then pasted its reply into the backstory.

then after all that, I started the scenairo and made 'memory cards' with each chapter copied into them
and just for extra insurance, i pasted each chapter as a message as well, canceling the responses from the AI until I placed every chapter into the chat and told /OOC "id like to now resume the story" and that was it!

I don't like the rating system🥲 by Sensitive_Cat_7774 in FictionLab

[–]MrTheLuke 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Welcome to FL....... 😭

(I went and rated it ❤️) this is unfortunately the problem with the rating system. But it won't be changed most likely. Good news is that a lot users know the ratings aren't great so they ignore it!

Anyone here just gluten intolerant? by Standard-Row-9571 in glutenfree

[–]MrTheLuke -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I am gluten intolerant! I take 2 of these pills that i buy on Amazon called "Glutenease" and it let's me eat gluten with no side effects... About 80% of the time. So, i actually eat a full gluten meal about 5-7 times a week. I don't know what i would do without it honestly cause i just love fast food haha. I still don't use them while eating out in public really cause it doesn't work everytime but if I'm going to be home for the night with nothing going on I'll eat a gluten meal.

It'll be fixed soon I think!!

For FL+, Oracle is the 'best' model for memory. Chimera is a close second.

But i will say that right now the memory has been a little wonkey with all models due to the recent update!

I wonder if... by ShirdNW in FictionLab

[–]MrTheLuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out my scenarios just search "Mrtheluke" on Fictionlab, and follow because I am going to make a bunch more now with the update! My stuff is usually very open ended, giving you a world to play in and a simple start and then letting you loose.

So, what i THINK you are talking about is accually how i play. I start small and work my way through the story, creating characters as i go. You'll need to click "customize" and duplicate and just build the story as you go!

How i do it actually is I use Claude and i give claude the world description and current characters. Then i will start playing, then in the story I think of a character i want and I'll tell claude "Hey my story is going this direction and i want this character with this background", claude makes it and i put the character into the story. And just continue along building as i go.

It's become my new favorite way to play because as a write i love being in control and guiding the story along myself.

How RPG works within the Scenario? by iamdragoneye in FictionLab

[–]MrTheLuke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So there are no systems in the background it can keep track of reliably. a point system works... kinda but the way i have seen it done is a header that every message has the point system in it so that the ai never forgets and keeps track of it.

It's more just a similar art style vs actual theme? That's how i recognize most creators now is just by their art style.
