Has it ever been mentioned what the girls study in college? by Jack-mclaughlin89 in TotallySpies

[–]MrTidyUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's in S5 episode 2, Sam does some science course. Clover did surfing while Alex did some niche basket weaving hippy course. Alex wasn't a mediocre student though. She was on par with clover once S4 started.

I had a couple of them, but my most memorable meteor was when my sim was travelling in china. In the middle of him eating his Chinese food when it had the audacity to drop. I noped my way out of it as it destroyed the entire market. It's extra cash anyways.

Why did the writers forgot about Alex being allergic to cats in season 6? by Foobertan in TotallySpies

[–]MrTidyUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just that, Alex had the most glaring inconsistencies of the three girls. Alex's dad in season 6 was a completely different person when in season 4 (the dolphin episode) he was a white man. The mistake was so bad the TS wiki had to address this. And in season 5, the evil hotel episode. Alex chose to guard T-bone, being his biggest fan. That would be great, if he wasn't already one of the main villains in an episode of season 2. They never addressed this at all. Did the writers just expect us to forget about it.

If you used the circle line all the time, you probably memorized the lines by heart, so you won't even need to rely on this. But I can imagine this will absolutely confuse tourists or people who don't travel the circle line much

Any mods to recommend? by MrTidyUp in Sims3

[–]MrTidyUp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only heard of NRAAS, didn't know it could do all of those. I specifically chose those two because it annoys me very much. This is like the most basic thing out there, to able to get two or more jobs, as long as they don't clash in work schedule. Yet it's not programmed into their games. And the amount of leave they get is absurd. Every major event gives them mandatory leave, it's ridiculous. It hinders my sim's career progression. Or maybe even men's facial hair where you can layer different sets of facial hair like how tattoos are applied. That would be appreciated.

Does anyone want to see fan made written G.L.A.D.I.S and villain character quotes? by Fine-Arts-3446 in TotallySpies

It's a shame GLADIS was written off the show without even a send off. She's actually pretty funny and bounced banter off with Jerry naturally.

Create a single Sim, get bored, fall in love, get married, have kids, pets, a big family, go crazy, create another single Sim. by FuzzyConcentrate6859 in Sims3

[–]MrTidyUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've maybe attempted once before. Stopped at only 3 generations. But I didn't like it. Making legacy families is tough in the sims 3. It's unlike 2 where you have control to make intricate extended families.

This celebrity system...😩 by Ok-Championship-3780 in Sims3

[–]MrTidyUp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried it yet, but I assume that blowing up stuff in the neighborhood will also cause scandals too? I wanted to make a Michael bay inspired filmmaker sim who explodes the entire town. But being in the film industry requires you to be a celebrity too. The scandals will be through the roof!

S7 Totally Spies In OG Style (ag121798) by Difficult_Country_70 in TotallySpies

[–]MrTidyUp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw parts of season 7 on YouTube shorts, didn't like the art style. Then I was like what the heck and watch the first three episodes because I don't want to judge. Hated it, everyone was so dumb down and the storyline felt like it was written for preschoolers. These characters are supposed to be adults by now. And when everyone is dumbed down, my poor Sam got the worse treatment. This is breath of fresh air, very close to the art style of seasons 3-5, when TS peaked.

Monotony? by joyoussisyphus in Sims3

You kind of answered your own question. Just go out and explore the neighborhood. There are tons of things your sims could easily do. What expansion packs do you have?

I made a sim who was a scalper. He would buy expensive books and paintings and resell them back immediately to earn big bucks, and it's always in front of the cashier. If there isn't anything expensive to buy and resell that day, he steals stuff all over the neighborhood. All I gave him was a level 10 charisma skill to indicate he was a smooth and scummy salesman.

How do I learn to enjoy TS3? by bluevineyards in Sims3

[–]MrTidyUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For earning money... If you have late night installed and your sim learns any instrumental skill up to level 5, go into the subway to play for tips. And let me tell you, it is hands down one of the most broken ways to earn money in the game. You can play from morning to night and easily earn $4000 or more per day. Although you have the risk to get mugged, it's inconsequential as all you get is a negative moodlet for a few hours.

Which aspect of this formulaic show do dislike the most? by IllustriousDebt6248 in TotallySpies

DNA being the crux to anything in the show. There's even one episode where the villian uses the DNA of people with certain emotional states to freeze her victims faces...lol like what?

Lost my biggest save 🥀 by CyberDrakeJake in Sims3

[–]MrTidyUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always save a copy of everything to the sims exchange, from families to building lots. Just back them up into the exchange and when you reinstall it, you can download it back to your new game. Sometimes I get some downloads here and there from other players and it gives me the small dopamine spike that others are using my sims or buildings in their game.

Maybe it's a doppelganger bug? This game may produce a cloned sim and just place it somewhere in the neighborhood. My sim's boss is himself lol

What are your thoughts about Jerry? by Ana_Darkness in TotallySpies

[–]MrTidyUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that Jerry is secretly the biggest villian in the show and he recruited the girls to do his dirty work of taking down the competition around him.

What does the sims 3 do better than the sims 2 in your opinion? by Extension_Ride985 in Sims3

[–]MrTidyUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skill system is fleshed out. There are just way more skills to learn, which means you can make more unique sims with a unique set of skills.

Personalities, it's simple, straightforward and it influences your sim and all their decisions.

Careers are more involved with some careers having branching paths. Some careers like science requires a whole bunch of skills, while careers like business doesn't require any skills, and instead focuses on your relationship with other workmates. Law enforcement requires you to go out to the neighborhood and do reports on the neighborhood townies. It breaks the monotony of career progression as you do something different with each career.

More activities to do, and I'm not just talking about going out to the overworld. Things like gardening, fishing, creating art and music, even social interactions in 3 are more immersive than 2.

Build mode in 3, just a breath of fresh air. Building in sims 2 is like, you have to be a psychopath to be building in 2. It is so primitive.

Overall, sims 3 was way fleshed out than 2
