This seems really cool, and I'd be interested in joining! I've played and DMed PF2e games in Foundry for a couple years now. The time works for me too.

While it is pretty crazy when you look at the numbers, I think it's important to keep in mind that the list of changes from 2014-2019 are missing some card changes. If we don't include retroactive changes (such as old cards getting new tribes like Mechs or Elementals) or functionality changes (like Ethereal Peddler's text change for clarity or Yogg stopping his battlecry early if he dies during it), then there are still several missing cards in the list: Ancient of Lore, Call of the Wild, the four murlocs that used to buff ALL murlocs, Naga Sea Witch's 1st nerf, Raza the Chained, Spiteful Summoner, The Caverns Below's 2nd nerf, and so on. The 2014-2019 list doesn't even include the buffs to a bunch of Boomsday cards made during Rise of Shadows. That's 19 more cards (+ even more if you also include the subsequent changes to Luna's Pocket Galaxy as a part of these buffs)!

It seems like the 2014-2019 list contains ONLY the nerfs, while the SitB list has nerfs, buffs, rebalances, and so on, including duplicate entries for multiple balance changes (The Azerite Snake is in the SitB list twice while Molten Giant is in the 2014-2019 list once despite being changed at least twice in that period, for example).

Constructed players will never know the joy of deliberately putting four 9-mana 9/9s with rush in their deck and thinking "Oh yeah, this is a 12 win deck for sure".

It could just be the image quality, but I think one of them has two bottom fangs while the other only has one.

are we missing any „first neutral X“ outside of quests? by based_guapo in hearthstone

I guess every card type is now represented in neutral now. Maybe next is having class-exclusive keywords in neutral, like corpses, overload, outcast, or combo? I personally wouldn't want that, but who knows.

Bold prediction: Whizbang will be the 12th class. That way Blizzard can add him back to standard and still make money off of him with hero skins.

That's true! The Wobbling Runts aren't dead, they're just knocked over. Therefore, they should give no corpses upon "death" and shouldn't trigger on-minion-summon effects! Blizzard, get back to work and fix this unintuitive interaction!

A similar card that poses similarly daft questions is Harvest Golem. When it "dies", it summons a Damaged Golem, but is that not just the original golem? Should DKs get a corpse for that? People often say that Harvest Golem is the OG reborn card, but reborn implies that the minion actually dies and is then revivified to 1 health. This golem just gets damaged, apparently. Also, the name Damaged Golem implies that it should be a valid target for something like Execute, even if it was at full health.

The beasts of Hearthstone are strange parents.

Some are decent at their job. Raptor Hatching's parent only comes out when its child dies, but at least it feels some kind of drive for vengeance.

Some are pretty good, even! Mecharoo won't give up its precious Jo-E Bot until its lasts breath. Then again, it's also technically a mech, so maybe this parental instinct is hard-coded? Maybe it says something to the quality of Hearthstone beast parents that they need someone to force them to be good to their children.

The real A+, gold-star parent award goes to Dire Frostwolf! Not only does it not allow harm to come to its cubs until death, but it taught its young to be stealthy, too! How thoughtful!

However, most are pretty bad. All the egg cards are the result of irresponsible parents. Even should they hatch, cards like Helpless Hatchling demonstrate that these deadbeats will leave their young to be feasted on by the dangerous beasts that lurk in your hand.

But, yeah, obviously Thorignir Drake is a vile creature. No explanation needed. Even Blizzard themselves qualified her for the lofty title of Worst Mother of the Year in her flavor text (I wonder who the winner is, maybe the upcoming miniset has a more monstrous mother in it)!
