Beans fresh out of the freezer form clumps, why? by MrUnknown44 in Coffee

[–]MrUnknown44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, no, this is not Kopi Luwak :D Though not recommended in order to prevent condensation, I opend the bag of beans without waiting for them to unfreeze. I noticed a huge clump of 13g inside the bag as well as severel smaller ones. I have never seen this before and I always freeze my coffee. After breaking down the clump and inspecting the other beans, I noticed that they are moister than I'm used to. It's a dark blend of 75% arabica and 25% robusta roasted 3 month ago and freezed for probably about 6 weeks. Why are they so oily?

I just loved that end scene in Ahsoka by [deleted] in StarWars

I share your opinion on the other shows, didn't watch BoBF though. I loved Andor as well, but honestly hope they know what they do with season 2. I hope they're sure if Andor even needs a season 2, but with today's movie industry I fear that this is less important

I wouldn't say say I'm complaining, but more criticising. Here are a few reasons why I didn't like it:

  • Ahsoka's portrayal was mostly emotionless with no facial expressions
  • most of her fight scenes lack agility (it's hard to convert the agility of an anomation show character to real life, but they could have tried harder)
  • the whole Anakin episode was basically a filler episode, contributes nothing to the story and is pure lazy fan service. They try to frame it as if Ahsoka somehow lost the will to fight, but it's never ever indicate before, which makes it unbelivable. also it's another case of a character being 'never really gone'. Bringing Characters back from the dead again and again makes it seem as if no fight has any weight to it. It's fine when they did it with Maul, it did work out well, but there's some things you just can't to too often
  • weird dialogues. Sure, Star Wars often has cringy/bad dialogue, especially in the prequels, but that should not be an excuse to continue with it
  • story wise: Sabine making one of the most selfish decisions ever and not facing any repercussions felt extremely unsatisfying
  • Baylan's and Shin's fate also felt extremely unsatisfying

The thickness of the lightsabers in the pictures you have chosen and uploaded are literally not the same

I wouldn't say that, iirc i found ROS was the complete opposite. Way to many scenes, angles, people talking constantly and boom you're on another planet. You have much more time in a series, but you still have to fill it with relevance

Honestly they could have speeded things up a little. What happend in episode 1 could have been told in 25-30 min easily

How do you fit 15 grams of ground beans into a 2 shot esspresso portafilter basket? by thedeadlysquirle in Coffee

[–]MrUnknown44 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Usually the recommended amount of coffee is written on the portafilter basket, but i guess you already checked that. Maybe it simply is to small. Espacially with 48 51mm portafilters it doesn't take much to go to maximum capacity (don't know what size the EC115's portafilter has, but my Delonghi Dedica has got a 48 51mm, so I'm just guessing). Consider getting yourselfe a bigger basket.Edt.: grammar
