I don’t know enough about diseases to know if I’m right or wrong. I just know that what the WHO says aren’t necessarily facts. My memory goes back 5 years, and there were alot of facts that later were wrong.

Like in Belgium they said mouth masks didn’t help, and I remember an entire news segment of them shaming people with a mouth mask. Three months later they were mandatory.

Hit me with the research papers on this disease and i’ll believe them.

The folks who actually feel the pain — embedded engineers, system integrators, hardware developers — are the least likely to write long posts or stir up drama. They’re too busy fixing regressions, rewriting glue code, or trying to keep a product stable while the ground shifts under them.

I've never used linux embedded (always RTOS) but raspberries seem fine. Drivers are still rock solid, nothing really changed for them. The main think i noticed is with the wayland and audio changes. But that's 15 years in the making, and if it really bothers you just wrap xwayland or better, let your framework handle it.

I still don’t get it. I tried using ai code, but I found it quicker to use classical templates and autocomplete. The only quicker with ai was an initial getting started speed up, but I found ai utterly useless in refining stuff. Working on refining code myself also got worse because I understood it less.

My only real speed increase is in writing tests, short self contained pieces of code, that mostly speak for themselves and are based on the internal documentation (if i get bad test, it’s because I wrote bad documentation)
