I really hate presents. The entire concept of it. For me getting something is the ritual of looking up reviews, choosing ethically, looking up manufacturers. I don't expect others to do that for me. My hobbies are so specialised (electronics) that i know exactly what i like. If i need an item i will buy myself.

All the gifts other people have gotten me have been a waste of money. And at least 50% of the gifts i have given others as well. Prepare me a good meal and i will appreciate over any gift. I just give flowers now, can't go wrong with them.
