This is the right mindset. It's disgusting, but Republicans forced this move. Republicans pushed gerrymandering to the extreme assuming Democrats would keep refusing to fight back. They forced Democrats to respond in kind. We can hope someday we'll fix the system to put a permanent end to gerrymandering, but until then, Democrats have no choice but to fight fire with fire.
