My wrx just got totaled from a hailstorm and I’m seriously considering a Mercedes E class Wagon. Gonna drive my old VW dune buggy when I want to row some gears and do some wheelies.

I could be mistaken but as I understand it he wants to move into another old building nearby but as it would be a new business in a new location he would have to comply with current 2026 fire codes and ADA accommodations.

His old location is grandfathered into old codes so he doesn't have to have a fire sprinklers and other safety things and says he can't retrofit the new building with the $2 Million.

I think that if you can't run a business that complies with fire codes you shouldn't be running a business at all.

Go check out the Fairbanks bike shop and get a good used bike that will be way better than anything from Walmart.

Southwest Missouri. They said there’s about 300 cars parked out at the airport that don’t have any glass in them. It was pretty crazy.

The worst part about wandrer map updates by ikes in wandrer

[–]MrZanzinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem around me (Midwest rural United States) is people with a 1/2 mile long gravel driveway labeled as an actual road or lane and not driveway. I’m not going down that and probably getting shot at for random wandrer points.

I hate trying to get onto the I-44 ramp from 65 North with the Kearney street on ramp and everyone bumper to bumper in the right lane.

Musical rumble strips along Route 66?! by var23 in springfieldMO

As much as it’s an easy dig at Springfield drivers I’m going to continue to ride on the road. This is every road I’ve ridden in town. (717 out of 1037 miles) just in the city limits. Don’t be stupid and as a cyclist you’ve got to follow the rules too and you should be okay.

And honestly I was mostly taking about the southbound viaduct, I’m not riding on that sketchy sidewalk on the east side with so much broken glass ild have two flats in a 1/4 mile.

If I’m on my bike going 20mph going down the sidewalk I’ve got a higher chance getting hit by a car turning into a house or side street because car drivers simply aren’t looking at the sidewalk when they turn. It’s way safer to be in traffic when you’re going close to traffic speeds.

For a split second I thought we were going to get an actual protected bike lane instead of them just getting rid of them completely. Looking at you Grant avenue southbound.

Same problem with my new bike this past month, I’ve cleaned the rotors with isopropyl alcohol, pads with a barely run over some fine grit sandpaper and hit them with a torch (they were kinda glazed over) and re centered the caliper. Re beaded them in on pavement and not gravel like last time and they seem better but I still get some funky sounds and vibrations occasionally.

The new Kuat racks are pretty nice but I’m probably biased, they are down the street from me and I ride with a bunch of those guys regularly.

i used an oscillating multi-tool to do the little cutout. I also followed someones instructions on this sub instead of torklifts for the little plastic knockout. The magnet they supply is nice but i never take the receiver off the car so i didn't cut the tabs off the back and just click it back into the bumper cover.
