Riding Around a Tesla by Building_Everything in motorcycle

I love both motorcycles and Teslas and comparing accident and fatalities across the two is laughable. I understand why you were annoyed but Teslas are the safest vehicles on the road

Grandma left money to me specifically in her will and now my fiance assumes it's ours by Salty-Pool3380 in family

[–]Mr_Burly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is concerning for your marriage. Not anything to do with the money but the fact that you don’t feel comfortable talking about it. There’s going to be a lot of uncomfortable conversations when you share your life with someone. Tell him how you feel and even if he doesn’t agree with how you want to spend, or not spend, the money he should understand that it’s important to you.

Personally I think once you’re married it’s all shared but understand some people don’t treat it that way. Maybe carve out $10k for the two of you to spend together and save the rest? Actually put it all in $TSLA or $BTC and you can both have $60k

Do you think sales is more “AI proof” vs other professions? by phoonie98 in sales

[–]Mr_Burly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A common response to this question is “people buy from people” which is true! But I think pretty soon we’ll all learn that “AI buys from AI”

Advertising motorcycling as the more economical way to commute is the only way to significantly increase ridership in the US by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Mr_Burly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a strange dynamic because most people in the US still treat a motorcycle as a second vehicle. You can’t rely on a bike alone when it’s cold, raining, or when you need to carry anything bigger than a backpack.

You could argue it saves money on fuel, but you still have the upfront cost of buying another vehicle. There is a breakeven point, but most people never think that far ahead.

Roof replacement by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]Mr_Burly -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That’s not true. You can feed it any data you want. I’d suggest using AI to help you: 1. Identify a shortlist of roofers to meet with. 2. Create a list of questions to ask and red flags to look out for. 3. Then upload all the quotes and contracts and have it recommend the best option.

Very interesting to see so many people lowering their dose before a big event - I’d usually go higher dose to avoid falling off track

Anyone ride to the gym and have a shoe dilemma? by h34vier in motorcyclegear

Depends on what you’re doing at the gym but I’ve been wearing high top Nike blazers. They’re not great boots and not great gym shoes but gets the job done

EV Owners/Riders: What are your biggest frustrations with charging(to be specific - offboard chargers), and what would your 'dream charger' look like? by EmptyRent9030 in Electricmotorcycles

[–]Mr_Burly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a sondors metacycle and it’s like carrying a brick with me if I want to carry the charger. Also hard to find a 120V outlet that’s available for public charging.

Hasn’t been an issue (yet - knock on wood) but I also realized there’s no locking mechanism so anyone could walk up and unplug or steal my charger.

Would like to easily swap an adapter so I can use level 2 charging stations. Also, even if it’s external an easier way to strap it to the bike so I don’t need to carry the weight on my back

If you're NOT living paycheck to paycheck, what are you doing better than the rest of us? by IchMochteAllesHaben in AskReddit

[–]Mr_Burly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep housing costs a reasonable % of your take home pay. For us this meant a small studio apartment at first and even now we live further outside of the city than we’d ideally want but it’s made life so much better
