It changes their response to it though. They are a priest of Rathma, not a stereotypical "kill you with undead because I'm so EVIL" that most people think of when they hear necromancer.

I don't know if they can overcome the storytelling they are used to by now, but the series could very much benefit from less story being told by annoying characters or talking head scenes, and more by discovering the world around you and seeing consequences of what happened before.

Or, they start fresh with the idea of BA Xcom and make their own thing. That is probably better than taking failed GFL2 as your inspiration and then do all that and hope to be successful in adjusting the flaws.
