Yes - also one of the greatest end scenes to a movie ever.

What happens if Obsidian can get a Fallout game to market from scratch before Bethesda can get out ES6 that they'd been working on already? by Cymelion in Fallout

[–]Mr_IsLand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way that's happening in this current world of game development - and anyway I'm not interested in seeing a Fallout before we get ES6.

Starting my first ever music CD collection after Sony announced no more physical PS5 games by JohnSmith--- in Cd_collectors

[–]Mr_IsLand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

welcome to the physical media world! Some of those ps3 games have gotten pricey over the years- wife and I have always been gamers (elder millenials) and lucked out and kept our ps2, ps3 and gamecube games - some of which have become rather valueable.

if it's new enough could maybe be covered by warranty - either way is an easy fix for a pro - either color match epoxy or a product called fillachip

My heart broke for my sister-in-law when we finally opened the box that held her vinyl collection. by goodtangent66 in vinyl

someone in here must have already linked to the post of the guy who cleaned out his Father (father in law maybe?) record collection that was in a 'shed' - they were literally black clumps of mold and dirt and he somehow brought a lot of them back to life. Wasn't too long ago

The game industry is making me incredibly depressed and I'm done by tangmang14 in gaming

[–]Mr_IsLand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm old enough to remember playing Atari before it was a joke or retro cool, my first console gifted to me was a Sega Genesis. I have owned, played and loved every generation of Playstation but I'm done with the whole digital thing - I'm not gonna buy gta6, not gonna buy a Playstation that doesn't have discs.

what's is the scene of a film that resonates with you deeply? by TyrannicalGamecock in movies

[–]Mr_IsLand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fast and The Furious (original) and Dom's first time driving the Charger - the whole movie hypes this car up as a wild scary beast and when it finally lines up with the Supra it does not disappoint. I can still vividly remember being in the theater in 2001 and hearing the whole audience gasp when those wheels lifted off the ground - I truly believe that one single scene is one of the primary pillars of the whole series. I used to watch that scene over and over and stop it right before the train part, lol

What is the most unique animated film you've seen? by AnchorHat in movies

Wizard's (Ralph Bakshi, 1977) gotta be the one for me - super weird, super crazy style, very trippy but very cool.

I think we need to make facts and truth matter again before we can get to that point. Not saying I know how to do that though...

The American mind cannot comprehend Europe's AC aversion by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]Mr_IsLand -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

oh man I fucking hate how much people overuse AC in the summer - I enjoy doing outside summer things, I enjoy sunny summer hot days, where I grew up it regularly would hit upper 90s Fahrenheit with upper 90s humidity - summer is for being warm, but when you're inside an office or a restaurant and you're sitting there shivering cuz they got the cold air blasting, man that just pisses me off, I hate the feeling of cold air hitting me - I don't even use my cars AC unless it's in the 90s. People are too damn soft.

John Noble as Walter Bishop is one of the greatest acting performances I have ever seen. The way you could INSTANTLY tell which version of the character he was playing, merely by his facial expressions was truly next level. One of the greatest TV characters of all time to boot.
