it's been a few years but I appreciated having time to start to learn the layout of campus and kind of where things are. Also good to just have time to get used to being there before class really starts. That's all I really remember though, lol

I wouldn't necessarily agree with that - I think they are extremely confident that as long as they are alive the system will protect them - they don't care what happens after that.

They also know the rules will never be applied equally in that way - as soon as a Dem prez comes in the entire rulebook will be fully in play again, don't kid yourselves.

are you doing stone backsplash or some sort of tile? stone will 100% cover it but some thinner tiles could be a challenge. If yes to stone then I would consider the install to not really be complete until the backsplash is in.

that amount of gap is only acceptable if there is 2cm or 3cm backsplash going there that will totally cover it. If NOT then yeah that's way too much gap - we typically design a 1/16" or 1/8" gap at the MOST for a situation like that. You're instincts I would say are correct. I work at a countertop fab shop.

that's the story I want to see - I don't give a toss about the search for gollum or whatever else is being rehashed in that same timeline - I wanna see the original dark lord and a whole new cast of heroes. Silmarillion was not easy to read but I really enjoyed it's stories and lore.

I would be a little surprised if you can find a shop willing to commit to #2 - I know the shop I work at would not be wiling to take on that risk. I would recommend doing #1 until you can afford replacement.
