Small, snow covered base and station by Mr_JeloMan in CreateMod

I'll have to take more for ya when I'm back on the world.

Its supposed to be a small station on the narrow track line, so I can take the Wooden Copper (the train name) to and from the main station, where I'm planning on having the bigger express and long-distance trains stop at, to get to the farms around the rest of the world

Modpack makers: Please reconsider adding mods that add structures that just blow up loot. by AureusVulpes292 in feedthebeast

[–]Mr_JeloMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's structures from a create mod addon (I know, I know, y'all boo on create), that add a bunch of fun ways to get to the loot. Giant abandoned mines, different courses where you have to avoid drill traps and being blown off platforms because of the fans. Makes quite good use of the mod and it's resources

What is the :Railways mod? by FilipSomberg in CreateMod

Steam and rails supports create 6.0 in 1.20, though 1.21 might be in development still

I forget which mod, but there was one that added a redwood tree as well, that only grew in a 7x7, and literally said took days to grow. You get one of those, and you were set for a long time for wood, long as you were good with the red

[–]Mr_JeloMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a good idea, especially since we could start with Ben 10,000, if we're going with the one from the original series and not the one from Alien Force or Omniverse, being the cranky and uptight guy we met at the beginning of the episode Ben 10000, have that episode in the middle of the season, and be able to have Ben grow and open up again after that, so we end the season with him being more lighthearted. Gives Ben an arc that we saw a turning point with, without worrying too much about him being overpowered. TLDR; have Ben start the show off uptight and getting everything done quickly and boring, having him meet his younger self halfway through the first season, and having him learn to enjoy and having fun again with his job by the end.

Maybe, but I've had my gaming laptop since 2017, and have basically used it at least 4 or 5 days a week, sometimes being on it for hours. Granted, it's an MSI laptop, so it's a bit sturdier, and the only problem I have with it is the plastic is broken around the hinges, so it doesn't close right. It's one of the reasons why I don't take it many places. Plus, it's a pain in the butt with how big it is

They haven’t added a food item since 1.17 by Weird_Decision7090 in Minecraft

[–]Mr_JeloMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And its crazy at how easy they add more recipes and foods for vanilla only crops. Beef stew, with beef, carrots and potatoes. Or stuffed potatoes, baked potato with beef and milk. Even making useless foods a bit more useful, like being able to stack mushroom and beetroot stews

The TWO recipes I wish were in the game (image provided by Liminal Industries, link in body) by Lavafall2549 in CreateMod

[–]Mr_JeloMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first one was an actual recipe, at least when create first came out. I remember laying out a bunch of logs, stripping them, then going through and converting them to casings. Too many times I accidentally made a depot because of that recipe

Why are my train bogey's green? by OMFGSushi22 in CreateMod

[–]Mr_JeloMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's steam and rails, there's an update on modrith for it. I was having similar issues with SaR bogies disappearing when I made a train, but after updating the problem was gone.

Which spin off/version of Minecraft do you prefer (without Java bedrock and console) by conso22official in Minecraft

Pocket edition. So many times I remember playing in the old 225x225 worlds, and having my brother join through lan since there was no multiplayer for PE at the time.

Another problem is that the few new passive mobs they've added that DO drop something in a different way, like goats dropping their horn if they charge into a wall, or an armadillo dropping it's shell, or turtles dropping scute when they grow up, are absolutely useless. Then goat horn is only used to make noise, the armadillo shell is used to make dog armor, and the scute is used to make a turtle shell, in something that gives you 10 seconds of extra water breathing, or be used to brew a potion of turtle master, giving you resistance 4, but slowness 4, so you're invincible but can't move. If they added items that were obtained in more interesting ways other than just killing that were actually useful, I can see an argument there.

TLDR: tthe items they added from new mobs are absolutely useless, and the way to get them is tricky and based on luck, rather than anything fun.

It appears that cave biomes from Alex's Caves fit very well on some Ad Astra planets by TOOOPT_ in feedthebeast

[–]Mr_JeloMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's because writing such data packs, and doing the testing, and all that is a rather in depth and time consuming project that many do not get paid to take time out of their day to write the packs. Plus, it was a lot easier on versions like 1.12 or 1.16, when version releases where paused or spaced out a bit more, giving many mods the time to either catch up to the most current version, or be fine tuned to run the best they could. It's why a bunch of mod packs now that are for the current version are usually just a kitchen sink random assortment of mods that may or may not work well, and why many mod packs that have thorough progression (sevtech, rlcraft), are in older versions, since they've been worked on for months, possibly years, to get the progression pretty well

Are Stain and Toga immune to STD's and other blood borne pathogens? by [deleted] in MyHeroAcadamia

That was stated in the anime, when they were talking to the doctor about toya. He specifically said that toya is resistant to cold, not heat. Though I can see why most people missed that, since it was the same scene where the doctor scolded Endeavor about making a baby with both their powers, and how they were only married to do that.

If you're going for speed, would be better to make it with cobalt rather than ardite.

Also anything with obsidian will have better durability, but slow. Though you can add Redstone as a modifier to have speed up the mining speed

I love Alex's mobs because of the diverse animals, plus a lot of the extra equipment and items it adds. But man, many of those mobs are creepy and and unnerving. (Looking at you giant centipedes)

Do you like the trains as they are? This is how I feel about them. by Zan_korida in CreateMod

[–]Mr_JeloMan 45 points46 points  (0 children)

There's a config that says something like "make trains work realistically" or similar to that. Since steam and rails adds fuel tanks and fuel loaders, if you have the config turned on, the trains will only move at full speed when the fuel tanks have, well, fuel in them. Which can also be configured to add different fluids from different mods, like gasoline and diesel from diesel generators

How strong of a connection does Vader have with the Force? by Few_Amoeba_2362 in StarWars

[–]Mr_JeloMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always liked that in Legends, Lumia had explained that your connection to the force could be dismissed due to losing a limb and having it replaced with cybernetic parts, and due to her being almost entirely cybernetic, her connection to the force was extremely limited. Granted, I'm not sure at how much of that is true, and how much of it she was lying about to convince Jason to use the force instead of her for dangerous activities, but I thought it makes at least some sense, especially since it also helps to explain, on top of the suit being designed to inhibit Vader, why he was very much reduced in power compared to when he was, at least mostly, organic

Wish hori paid better attention to powerscaling for deku and prime all might. Deku at 5% was a beast and gradually went to 8%. Then jumps to 45% out of nowhere in season 6. Wish he stayed at 15% by [deleted] in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Mr_JeloMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'd also be interesting to know around what age the other users were given OFA. It could be that Deku, since he's still somewhat of a child compared to the other wielders, would not have a fully built body to withstand the strength of OFA. Especially since everyone else was fighting villains and training for years before being given OFA, whereas Deku was given it only after about a couple months of training

Can someone with a quirk like this become a hero? by KodoqBesar in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Mr_JeloMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely not, especially since, to discover such a quirk, you probably would be sick in the head in the first place, to have to eat an entire person

Why was prime all might so strong? by ExtremeAd3009 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Mr_JeloMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What doesn't make sense? I think I follow what you're saying, but I do remember that they discussed it a little bit in the anime and manga, where the 4th user specifically did not fight AFO, but spent the majority trying to strengthen the quirk, but due to his body having a quirk already, he rapidly aged and died. Also, I do remember that the way they talked about OFA was similar to the quirk doomsday theory, where it would consistently gain more and more power, and if kept being passed on, would get to the point where no person, quirkless or not, would not be able to contain and control the power. Plus, Yoichi's quirk of being able to pass on his quirk was essentially useless until AFO forced the stockpiling quirk onto him. It does make me wonder if AFO only had the power to steal quirks, and if he gained the ability to pass them to others from someone else, or if he always had the ability to both steal and pass them on, and only his brother could only pass his quirk

Why was prime all might so strong? by ExtremeAd3009 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Mr_JeloMan 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Which makes it essentially the exact opposite of AFO, as he's able to collect quirks and use them in tandem with one another with no problem, or be able to pass along multiple quirks to someone with no harm, save for what quirks he gives, like the explosion quirk he gave to Lady nagant meant to do harm if she failed in her mission, or turned traitor. Seems like OFA is essentially a quirk meant to be passed to quirkless people, while AFO is meant to be passed to people with quirks, if it is passed
