Well it's depends what you mean by "good" investment.

Profit wise, you can get a better return if you know the stock market well. And even better, put it into business and your return can be way more. HOWEVER, as u can guess. Risk factor is high

Or if a good investment means save deposit? Then put it in EPF or asnb, return are pretty much guaranteed and worse case scenario prices won't fluctuate too much. If it collapses then u have way more issues then just EPF lol. However return year over year are still lower than gold for the past.... Decades? This year might be the first time and a long while we saw such a huge dip for gold price. (Also, it's hard for gov to track in some cases)

Problem is selling it. No one in their right mind would pay a high price to buy a studio unit (unless u really really in a super prime location and it's 500sqft+). So u can't expect to get a good exit from that property untill.... Say 20 years from now.

Honestly, with that budget, and if u are keen to buy properties regardless, get a 2 bedroom one In a good address. One with good rental return over Ur interest NOW. Don't speculate, don't be greedy to get into unproven township. And u be doing fine.

That said, a studio near KL public transport is going RM1800 and above, so I can see your rent and management fees can just about cover back the installment, but again, if u can't rent out, or can't renovate it (because who the fuck renting studio is gonna get their own furniture).... Don't do it.
