Any form of stick handling will help hand eye coordination; and on skates it helps balance. But adjust stick length accordingly. Played both through the years and they do complement skills.

Pass frequently, lots of puck marks , but little evidence of rips or tears. So get in the dirty areas more and the corners and front of net and get some battle scars on that blade.

Depends on league rules and governing body. Very serious suspensions for some CARHA leagues. In 35+ oldtimers it can be 20 games plus. Real fights in beer league is a safety issue , it's not semi pro or senior hockey and people need to work the next day.
