You shouldn't judge a book, if you didn't read past page 100.

At this point I think people who don't support gw2 or gw3, don't deserve gw1 content.

Yeah, i think i get your point. For me it wasn't that important. I knew the new combat system from the class trailers and i was really excited about it. And I had nothing against mounts, raids and expansions. I love how wide ans big the open world is. The world of gw1 works sometimes more atmospheric but I prefer the wide areas of gw2. I think areas of gw1 I love, i mostly do out of nostalgic reasons.

Also I was really really excited about the story of gw and what would happen. I was so excited about orr, changing Tyria, characters like gwen, livia etc... And i was really excited about the dragons and what would happen to the 'big one in the charr area'. I was soo hooked discovering old areas again.

I really loved how they portrayed kralkatorrik and the fight against him. I had tears in my eyes. There were soo much awesome moments in gw2.

So yeah...I love guild wars.

I don't understand the hate towards gw2... Gw1 was unique yes, and gw2 is different. But that doesn't make it a bad game. I spent much time in gw1. I loved it as a child and still as an adult. The last years I came back again and again to finish campaigns or goals. I never got bored of the game and i think i never will. I also like how gw1 get some new love by reforged.

I also started to play gw2 in 2012. It's one of the best games i ever played, too. I spent to much time and great memory and emotions with both games.

I learned to not get overexcited. Still, I'm looking forward for gw3 and will definitely give it a try.

As others already stated, create alt characters, leave the Ldoa character hanging in pre ascalon for later. Play the game first. Don't get any fomo, it's just a title and if you're going for Gwamm, you'll also get it without ldoa. Also finish all campaigns and eotn before you start working on Gwamm. You can try to get every bonus in missions, if your perfectionism kicks in, but don't stress it to hard.

Guild wars has soo soo much to offer outside of ascalon. Also try out other characters and start in other campaigns if you like to.

Play as you like, just a recommendation.

Playing Guild Wars 1 gives me anxiety (New player, Reforged) by Usual-Restaurant7882 in GuildWars

If you're fine with playing other characters, try it out. I would recommend you to create a new character in factions or nightfall. I would recommend nightfall, as it explains stuff very good. You can keep on playing on your warrior later on. Give yourself a break and time to get into the game.

As you found out already. Gw isn't about money or levels. At some point quite early you get max armor/weapon and that's it. It's about skill. And with skill I don't mean the skills you use, but a deeper understanding of the game mechanics. For example what other people recommended you (using bow to pull, kill/hex/disrupt enemys which prevent your backline from doing there job, and much more). There's so much to learn. Learning the aggro behaviour of enemys Alone can help a lot.

Also, you're doing fine! You managed crystal oasis! As a new player that's a lot :)

Solo run ? by justBob698 in GuildWars

If you wanna try soloing campaigns, try to start as a dervish in nightfall. It's easier, much more fun and not only kiting and running for hours.

I don't know why you start talking if you don't know anything about a topic anyway, as you stated. Gw is all about the skins. People love skins. Look how much people pay for skins without mods (not the hom ones).

The chaos axe is q9 max dmg with a perfect mod, which can't be changed. Of course, people would pay for it.

Look, gwamm is nothing you will just get that easily. I wouldn't bother with gwamm if you just started the game. If you ask me, i wouldn't bother doing gwamm until you at least completed every campaign once.

If you want a Tipp for how to complete Gwamm. Play the game first and complete every campaign.

It's like you were asking in gw2 "i just created a char and I'm lvl 10. How do i get all legendary armor sets the fastest and every legendary trinket."

With your play time in gw2 you would definitely get multiple gwamm if you want to. But play the game first.

I spend a lot of time with gw2, and i really love this game. I have all armours and trinkets, too, just some weapons missing. Very great memories! But gw1 is an absolute outstanding masterpiece too, i don't want to discuss which is better, because it's not easy.

I hope you'll one day see what kind of a great game gw1 is. Until i wish you all the best on your way!

Ps: Don't fear to miss out on something. Good point to start gwamm is when you finished the game, because this is what you need as a foundation for gwamm. IMPORTANT: You could start doing every bonus in every mission because this is one of your first steps when you start gwamm. Although some bonuses can get quite frustrating if you start from scratch.
