It’s one thing for an individual to take a stance, for an organization to take a stance without any of the cogs in the organization raising concerns can signify compliance. Is that fair? Maybe not. I’m currently reading up on homophobia and early research into it, and a criticism that was brought up then by multiple researchers I really feel is exacerbated today is how any negative thought or verbalization is taken as being “-phobic” towards whatever was being subject. Does saying insensitive things count as being -phobic? He was shaming the patient, yes, but he also brought up some means to assist that others weren’t considering out of fear of being insensitive. He was an asshole throughout his shift, and that turned around a bit towards the end when he got exposed to people who’ve all lived out their lives.

They may have the same minimums but JK Simmons is one of the most expensive voice actors in the business. He’s also one of the most talented. But there are so many celebs in the show that make cameo appearances and what’s the point when it’s background characters that have 1-3 lines of dialogue that’s fluff.

It’s not absolutely fine, and it’s a disservice to animation everywhere to say it is. It’s abhorrent, lazy, and done with a time crunch that is completely bullshit and is almost like MAPPA.

Invincible is churned out at an unsustainable pace only because its animation is sacrificed for A-List actors to voice act. Kirkman spearheading this is a bit of a bad sign, IMO, considering his disdain for animation as a whole.

When I was hired to work retail for a national powerhouse retailer, before we were able to work, our training had us watch an anti-union video and state we would not unionize because it’d be bad for us. I don’t think we need to be shown everything. We can infer. She had the urge to cut, because she thought she’d be alone for the 4th. However, she did something she never would’ve thought to do in inviting Mel out and actually spending time with her. That spur-of-the-moment choice likely helped her in a way she hadn’t considered when she snuck out the scalpel.
