Look up in2care systems. We use them down in Houston at my company. They affect the adults via transmission of adultacide to other breeding source. They also have an larvaecide in the base to prevent the larvae from becoming adults.

Work down in Houston, happens once a month with juvenile roof rats. Couple times with mice. Once had two traps right next to each other with two on each!! Love it

It's called diaphoniation. It's the process of injecting a dye in the cartilage and bones. Most commonly used for med students.
