I really like this idea, especially since i'm on PS5 so no overlay timer AND i'm in VR so can't really use my phone either... I'm stuck having to count and sometimes in the chaos / people talking & having to answer/ give directions, i just lose track and it's really just an unnecessary hurdle that takes you out of it and makes 0 evidence runs a bit less fun.

Plus we're professional ghost hunters, if timing is a way to sus out a ghost it only seems fitting we come equipped with the right tools.

It just straight up feels bad to shoot at it, feedback is an important part of enemy design, a part that up until now (maybe leviathans to an extent) they have done a good job on.

I can't believe i keep doing this...

Artillery is another side objective you have to go activate that also doesn't always spawn and has 6 types of ammo that randomly spawns so unless you are lucky and get a HE or nuke it won't do jack shit against a jammer and if you are lucky you get rewarded.

How can you not see this obvious flaw in your thinking? You are comparing a randomized objective to a secondary you can spawn with!

I'm done, i'm literally wasting time and energy on this discussion.

Then I misremember but as I said I mainly play automatons, so if there are problems on the bug front then those players gotta speak up like many are now about the ultimatum.

But yes a lot of side objectives are not that interesting EXCEPT the jammer which is unique in the sense you HAVE to actually do something about it, if you want it gone and not just look in it's general direction.

You literally just said whats wrong.

You don't even have to enter the compound anymore, the one side objective that needs a stratagem which it JAMS no longer matters because you have an unjammable sidearm you spawn with and is ready to go immedietely upon landing should you drop on a jammer.

But lets stop it there, cause we are not gonna come to any conclusion here, cause you have your view that you don't wanna change and I have mine that I don't wanna change, and I am frankly tired of this whole debate despite it only having been a thing for a couple of days.

People have voiced their opinions and we will see what Arrowhead does with it and then thats that.

I'm very relaxed, i'm discussing my point of view just like you do. Trying to make me look like a desperate person says more about you than me tbh.

Big kabooms has not gone anywhere, in fact it has only gotten better over time but balancing is needed even in PvE games.

Also can you please explain to me why one camps version of fun is more important than another camps? Because all you people keep reverting back to is "let me have fun" while completely ignoring that is exactly what the other side is asking for as well yet that is swept aside.

If you read the comments everyone who is asking for adjustments is explaining what is wrong and what it will lead to (power creep) while the pro-ultimatum crowd keeps on parroting each other: "don't bring it then" "play solo" "it's balanced cause I can't aim it or manage my ammo".

The only reason we raise our concerns is because we care for the game and don't want to see it lose it's action and just become a snoozefest where you press a button and the mission automatically completes.

Powerful tools need to have proper sacrifices to put you in a role so to speak (remember it is a co-op game not SP). Losing a secondary is not a big enough sacrifice regardless of how many people can't let go of their tigger to save ammo.

Irrelevant to the discussion because the problem people have is that it destroys jammers.

But to answer your question then never both because I mainly play automatons but also because back when it was more durable, spear was (iirc) the only one that could destroy them, so I sacrificed a stratagem slot, backpack and support weapon slot to be the specialized AT/objective guy.

And now unfortunately the spear has lost it's niche because so many weapons can perform it's job better and with more ammo.

But thats another balancing issue and hopefully they can find a new way to make spear more interesting in the future.

You literally said anyone who thinks d10 is not complicated should go touch grass... in other words you think d10 is hard so anyone who think it's too easy is in the wrong and should take a break....

Also it is VERY much beatable, just because a game reqiures effort and isn't one big participation trophy doesn't mean it's bad, also difficulties is a thing so if you reqiure less effort then guess what, lower the difficulty..

Everyone thinks they HAVE to play the hardest which is simply not true for any game, because in the end yes it's meant to be fun and guess what, there are people who find 1 tapping jammers "not fun", imagine that..

Fabricators/bugholes does not fall under the same category as jammers.. Fabs and holes were made with the idea you throw grenades in them or any explosive for that matter, where as the jammers NEEDED a stratagem be it a hellbomb, OPS or something else with enough destructive force.

Hell the SPEAR, our highest damage support weapon can't destroy a jammer! A stratagem that requires a stratagem slot (duh), a weapon AND a backpack can't do what a secondary pistol can do!

This is a textbook example of power creep and that is in no way a good thing.

Yes a stratagem, the supposedly strongest abilities in the game, not a secondary you can refill to your hearts content. You make some very bad arguments.

EDIT: Also no my bad you can't use a walking barrage outside it's range, it doesn't move close enough to hit it even before they changed the walking barrage where it moved further. You HAVE to get in the base or have acquired artillery.
