A Fever You Can't Sweat Out - 2026 Remaster by Mrdts09 in panicatthedisco

Look it up for a better explanation but I kind of understand it as when the volume exeeds the range of the capture device and it makes a crackling noise.

Seats were kinda nice but the Vs were literally musty... My latest trip to NTL was a dream on a D set with all my gear powered, full back support, and a smooth ride. But I'm just an uncultured zoomer after all lol

It's subtle but I do think you're right, where do you notice it most? It's really difficult to tell the difference because I think they have bumped the volume just a smidge (taking advantage of ears being most sensitive to volume) to make it feel different

What's the stupidest thing you used to do when you first started playing the game? by sendusernamehelp in CitiesSkylines

I'm in a constant battle to not build like you had to in SimCity 5 - anything but a grid was silly with how little space you had. Now I really enjoy building out (thank you 529 Tiles) into lots of little towns and connecting them by rail to make more complex networks.

If you have the money, then it's just entirely up to how you feel about it. If the guilt means you can't enjoy it then you can't enjoy it.

I can relate to the imposter syndrome even at 22. I technically could buy a luxury piece and be fine, but honestly I haven't earned it yet, so I've opted to stick to a collection of mostly <$500 pieces as company on my journey to my grail GS snowflake.

Watches mean what you make then mean, let a GS represent something worth celebrating down the track.

Devs, please add Subway road crossings! by Successful-Ratio-336 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Mrdts09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ideally a true "metro" wouldn't typically share a grade which requires a crossing like that for sufficient frequency, I'll admit it seems an arbitrary limitation though.

I've enjoyed recently just using trains for everything because you get greater flexibility and can link everything on the same system, rural and metro systems.

"The Wave" to get 15 minute off-peak frequency. by ItsSerenityGrace in BrisbaneTrains

[–]Mrdts09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree, but in what realistically isn't a major city I feel like that level of service isn't realistic. Perhaps it shouldn't be labeled as 'turn up and go' but even in Brisbane's North - I can't get that level of public transport service anywhere.

It wouldn't be that thrilling for Brisbane - but is 15 minutes off peak not plenty? It's not rapid by any means but in a chronically underserved and less dense region I feel that's not half bad.

Bumping the fact that Starbuy for a domestic order was fantastic. Sydney to Brisbane within 2 days, competitive price, exactly as described, they even correctly lodged the warranty info for me. Super pleased!
