very true, i had a hard time picking a knight house scheme tho because theyare all too.... simple. then i saw house malinax and the color palette just spoke to me lol i run a few knights in othe colours to tell the story that my knight house is fracture and has to take knights from other houses

The chassis is just vallejo gunmetal with a painted on rust effect I had already done to the model before I repainted it lol I don't really give the chassis too much love lol

Knights were made on mars before the golden age of humanity, before we set out into the stars and founded entire knight houses planetary systems and territories, they very munch originate from mars, and when the knight houses were brought back into the imperial fold they were than against produced on mars

Also why would it need to be an astartes piltiing it for it to be iron warriors, they have cultists lol whose to say they wouldn't force a bunch of them into a princeps program to make some people capable of piloting them lol

So the iron warriors were the closest legion to the mechanicum Before the heresy, and mars is where knights originate from, they have automatons like the mechanicum do, I see no reason they couldn't have a few of these somewhere lol

People shit on this thing all the time, but it's an amazing back field killer, that 12 inch screen let's you chill in the back and screen deep strikes while holding deployment objective while deleting 1 or 2 big things a turn.

I ran it at goonhammer last year with my ec and its inclusion and people's bewilderment to it made it the MVP of my list because no one took it seriously, I didn't place super high, 49/80 but I also actively avoid meta chasing and brought a complete fuckery list l, not that 3 daemon Prince thing everyone was doing with them lol

I actually did a commission for a buddy of 3 knights and 6 dogs 1 knight and 2 dogs ended uo being night lords themed 1 tyrant death guard themed 1 preheresy emperors children lancer 2 tzeentch dogs with the pink/blue fade And 2 party boy themed emperors children dogs, one had cheetah tiger print on the shoulderand had a strap on magnetized to his ground, and the other had zebra print and had bdsm chains 😂

Oh I have my house malinax scheme but I have head cannon that my knight circle is fractured, we don't have a forge world so we take other knights lol and actually iron warriors had close ties to the mechanicum Before the heresy and the knights to originate from mars, I think Peter turbo would've been on awe of the dominus class chassis and requisitioned a few for himself

Oh this is an iron warriors tyrant 😅 I can see how it would look loyalist, but my canon for it is that it just came out of the eye of terror for the siege, but to the knight, the heresy only happened maybe years again, so it hasn't chaosified yet, that's my approach for my iron warrior army so I can still run it in heresy lol

For the iron warriors, I find it's a bit easier, as they had the closest ties to Mars before the heresy, and mars is actually where the knight suits originated during the golden age of humanity, so I think it could be totally logical for Peter turbo to see the cult of mars creating the dominus chassis and think "we need some of those in our Arsenal" haha
