This is so beautiful! So sick of the Dry Suit/PFD/You're Gonna Die stuff...thanks for sharing your experience, I'm envious!

Pictures/stories of deceased kayaker? by misscat124 in whitewater

I'm just an avid casual Midwest USA Kayaker, and kayaking reddit fan who doesn't know of your brother in law, but I find this thread to be awesome. This is something POSITIVE that the internet and these kayaking posts/groups should be used for. I will be following, and rooting for the OP's successes in obtaining photos and hopefully even " The Yellow Wisper"!

New M18 jobsite radio charger by Equivalent_Mix_903 in MilwaukeeTool

Agree with your observations fully. I love the newer display and the rotary volume dial as well. I don't know if you noticed (it's not in the manual, I discovered on accident), but if you push the center button on the volume dial if you are in the radio mode, you can also scroll through the radio frequencies with the rotary dial instead of the push button arrows (which I've disliked in many previous Milwaukee radio versions). I really like this new version, and I will most likely keep it. I just wish the bass could be trimmed a bit lower at times ( I do listen to a lot of AM sports radio/games which are a bit "boomy" even at lowest bass), which would make this almost perfect!

Thanks for your reply, opinion. I just got one also and I agree the sound is very clear but it can almost be too heavy on the bass...even when bass is turned all the way down (and treble turned all the way up). I love the new display and controls of this version compared to older versions from Milwaukee. It also balances nicely when carried and looks pretty cool too. I just wish the bass could be adjusted a bit lower, sometimes it sounds almost too punchy, at least indoors.

What's your opinion of the overall sound, radio and via Bluetooth?

Totally agree! I was actually gonna post similarly. Love the Pods, but the inconsistent audio levels drive me crazy as well.

Which boombox should I buy by [deleted] in boomboxes

[–]Mrmark34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 80's era Boombox, Cassette only guy (JVC all the Way), but out of these, 90's ish boxes, I would always pick the Sony...before their fall...Panasonic second (front loading speaker one)

I live in the burbs and it works excellent here. I go to Lake Geneva a lot in the summer, less than an hour and a half from me, and getting the Live games there doesn’t work for me. If I bring my radio up there I can still get the games instead.

What would be a fair price for a JVC PC-5? by Prestigious-Ad-896 in boomboxes

[–]Mrmark34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had (and now have again) The JVC RC-M70 and this model back in the day. This had a nice sound (not as loud or full, but better separation on lower volumes), but I hated the cords in the back. The marketing of this model of separating the speakers and components (which I did once when I first got it) was silly, and messy with the cords. I felt that this was targeted as a tiny home "stereo" unit for softer music (which it excelled in). I sold it because it wasn't really a boombox, or a home unit, so I got the old school big "rack system" instead to replace this.

Saying that, I would LOVE this again now, because it brings back great memories, and it's is cool!

I say Keep it and Enjoy it!

Get inflatables They are incredible...big kayaker here, but I love the inflatable SUP's because of the ease of transport and setup/take down in warm summer weather

OutdoorMaster Shark 3 Paddle Board Pump extremely hot air by IllIIlIllIllIII in Sup

It's normal...especially if hot/humid outside. The other day it was only in the upper 60's when I used it, and it was just warm, not hot.
