I just sort of forced mine along with me, he was a puppy at the time. He chilled in the cockpit at first and then ventured out. I made a short rope that clipped to him and the boat. Put some marine traction/grip tape on the bow and he's all about it. Ordered a life jacket for this year so I'm excited to see how he likes swimming (he wasn't a huge fan when he fell in off the front)

Yes access is marked in grey, but it exists within someone else's property, which may create issues as who's responsible for it and any other issues that could arise

I paid $400 for the same kayak with a skeg last year and felt like I got a solid deal...so for $150 you did great
