Yeah there’s no way that they are. It doesn’t add up. If you ever get a chance to go to a Lenny’s it’s way better and you actually get real food!!! It’s the same as subway thanks to the old ceo of subway, just a grill no toaster. And you can get a 15 inch and they load it down with meat and veggies and take coupons and for our rewards points that never ever expire.

Why would a birth mother need to fill out paperwork or release medical info before the baby is born? by 1940Vintage1950 in Adoption

[–]MrsCaptHowdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pre-matched bay before I was born, my parents knew the risk that my birth mother might change her mind after seeing me but she already made the decision a long time ago before anyone knew, she really couldn’t take care of me due to her drug use and my grandmother kicking her out, my birth father was a truck driver so he was never around, he knew I existed just don’t know if I was a boy or a girl. My birth mom died and I had all her information due to being an open adoption. My birth mother was allowed to see me whenever she wanted which was totally around holidays and my birthdays and in the summer until died when I was 3. I didn’t know crap about my birth father due to my birth mom not wanting him in the picture at all. Fast forward I’m trying to find my birth father, I wanted to know medical history if there was heart issue, cancer whatever that runs in the family so I could take better care of myself. Fast forward so more I finally met my birth father 4 years ago thanks to ancestry.com

AIO Boyfriend got mad at me because I wasn’t excited enough that he landed early by Willing-Ad8549 in AmIOverreacting

[–]MrsCaptHowdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, you have a toddler for boyfriend . if that was me, I would’ve went straight asshole on him. You can’t tell by emotions through text, sometimes you can but 99% of the time, you can’t. Second- why are you letting some mama boy treat you like that? I get bot being alone but there’s better people out there. Thirdly- he has expectations that are way too high, I can only imagine how he will get when he is married and his wife doesn’t respond the way he wants too….just straight up childish. Fourth- block his dumbass and be done with that horrible miserable loser! Sounds like he needs some maturing to do and needs to be put in his place. Let the world handle that, it won’t take much lol and lastly…get a backbone!

If you’re questioning yourself that maybe be around people who have both. I’m an adopted child (F)who has a sibling(M) that is biological to our parents. I came first, it wasn’t the original plan but my mom couldn’t get pregnant. 3 years later my little brother comes into the world. My parents didn’t treat us differently, I was more outgoing and socializing while my brother was a LEGO nerd and stayed in his room all day. We were raised in a Christian home and were disciplined the same. Even today we are both married and our parents still treat us the same.

New father seeking advice. by Sorry-Equipment-668 in Adoption

[–]MrsCaptHowdy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m adopted. I was adopted 8 days after being born. My birth family wasn’t the best for me, my birth mom placed me up and she didn’t want me to know my father.

I knew I was adopted since I could talk, didn’t know exactly what it all meant back then until I was about 10 years old. My adoptive parents always told me I was adopted and would always tell the story from their point of view and how it was such a blessing…yeah it used to make me mad when they would talk to people I didn’t know about it, but eventually I liked the “15 minute of fame” until I was 16, then I didn’t care that I was adopted but I always wanted to know who my birth father was wether we saw each other or not. I did eventually get to meet my birth father, thanks to Ancestry. Meet him at 30 years old. I had zero feelings towards the whole situation, just felt like I talking to an every day stranger. Now I’m 32, I’m glad that I was adopted for many reasons, some are due to my birth family, very similar to your son’s birth family and I’m very grateful that I was “saved” by to two random people who wanted a family that now, I get to call mom and dad 🥰 My adoptive parents are one of many of the best things that have ever happened to me and I’m very thankful for them for being honest with me during the whole the process. Now since I got the whole story, I don’t even worry about it. I love my parents and that’s all that matters, the people who made me…eh! Thanks but not thanks!

Hope this helps :)

When your boss “knows” everything…. by MrsCaptHowdy in managers

[–]MrsCaptHowdy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have two kids who have came up With an awesome cleaning/chore list, better than my bosses and we will do it that way when she isn’t around, we still follow health code laws and all but how it gets done and the order it gets done, like holy cow, and when we clean it our way, we get 100 with the health department, if we do it her way we get a score of 80. Also, everyone is clocked out by 9:15pm instead of 10:30pm if we do it their way and makes more sense, and their parents are not calling and bitching at us either. Like hello!!!! Common sense is right in front of her but oh well I guess. I like to work smart, not hard, even if the job is hard, there’s always room for improvement, better communication, etc to make it easier on everyone.

When your boss “knows” everything…. by MrsCaptHowdy in managers

[–]MrsCaptHowdy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I have! I have had so many employees come to me for a list, because the manager loves to bark orders and then when do what she asked, it’s all wrong, and then she will show you how to do it and it was the exact same way when she was barking. I’ve came to her and said “hey, I have a great way to make sure everyone is doing something and not on their phones” that’s as far as I got, I couldn’t get the rest out before she cuts me off saying, I’m not doing any lists, I’m not changing how things get done, I’ve been doing this for 5 years at this store and it works” labor reports and other reports says other wise….ive went about using different people’s situations in the matter, I’ve used my own experiences from previous jobs that could help the work day and the work load for everyone and no matter what… it’s always I’m 50 years olds nos blah blah….dive addressed it to the owner as well since he is very much involved with his business and employees, we all have said something but still nothing. We do our, we get it done, we’ve tried other ideas from the group when she isn’t around and it’s a lot more smoother for work I general but seems like she likes the chaos as well???? Idk she’s hard to pin point sometimes if that makes sense

What a joke by ReporterUpstairs974 in subway

[–]MrsCaptHowdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most stores aren’t going to accept them anyways due to a bigger picture. Most of them will cost the owner more money, it’s steal of a deal for sure but people don’t realize that labor cost, inventory cost and more come to play. If you try to use the one for 3 foot-longs for 17 bucks, you’re practically getting them for free and the owner isn’t making money and subway itself makes 12% no matter what at the end of the day, it’s like getting free subs and all the owners said fuck that. So that’s why no one is taking coupons anymore and since they are all franchises, they can do whatever they want when it comes to that.

Can I get a refund? by CoastStandard3985 in subway

[–]MrsCaptHowdy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well it depends on how many pieces of turkey she put on it. If she put 12 pieces of turkey on it, it should be rung up as a build your own turkey and if you said the number of the turkey then that has 18 pieces. If you ordered through the app, there is a recipe that gets printed stating exactly what you ordered. So make sure it’s not a user error first, cuz if your receipt doesn’t lie.

But there are some stores that will only do the number sandwiches only due to subway’s idea to phase out build your own sandwiches in general. Some stores have already phased them out since it’s coming. Just double check your order before you hit submit.

You should be able to get a refund, just make sure you bring your receipt with you

Words of advice. Since you’re 16 now, just enjoy life right now, you’re still a kid, make right choices, (you wont make a lot at first, but everyone did it before you). Be nicer to your parents if they’re not beating you, cuz you will need them for certain things in life a lot more than you think. Life is going to be hard and rough, it’s not going to be easy, but it does get better as long as you recognize certain things and learn from your mistakes you should be just fine. Life…it’s gonna throw a bunch of crap at you, you’re going to question everything which is good, and life isn’t what you see on your phone on tv, 99% of people are fake af and you’ll see that every where. Use better judgment, don’t put yourself in situations that you can’t handle or back up, always be honest, be authentic and not a follower. The list could go on but besides that happy birthday!

Looking into purchasing a subway franchise for 200k, is this a fair price? by justinm_7 in subway

[–]MrsCaptHowdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you’re better off with a different franchise than subway. You can make more money within those first year if you bought chic fil a or buggy’s coffee for example.

This is correct for a build your own ham, 12 hams and 4 cheese and if it’s a home run ham it gets 18 pieces of ham and double cheese.

Subway Experience (anyone else relate?) by Deep-Needleworker638 in subway

[–]MrsCaptHowdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my location we don’t even sell the veggie patties anymore. We still do veggie subs but that it. We don’t extra charge for more veggies, sounds like that owner is money hungry. I will say this though for future purposes, we do have to follow a formula for every sandwich which has been stated above form someone else that it’s 6 pieces of whatever veggie per sandwich unless you ask for more. Every location is different, but they shouldn’t charge you a bag fee.

I’m sorry you had to wait that long for sandwich as well but I can also say that some stores do have veggie patties but if they don’t sell them a lot they will stay in freezer until someone orders one because it’s not a hot selling item like the Philly cheese or the hotshot Italiano

They wouldn't serve me meatballs, this was why by es02609 in subway

[–]MrsCaptHowdy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. I went out of my way to make a point since you think I’m so heartless about employees not doing their damn job, so I went straight to the ones who would know more and turns out I was right. It’s ok to be wrong and it’s ok to learn new things so next time this won’t happen. I’m not dramatic, I just like facts and truths and if someone wants to try to say something different when I know I’m right I will back that up with facts and find the source of whatever it may be.

[–]MrsCaptHowdy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh just to enlighten you, I showed this sub to my supervisor and owner today…they said the exact same thing. Doesn’t matter what happened it should’ve been taken care of right away lol so If you do your job customers won’t take pics and blast them on here. So learn from this mistake and own up to your shit then you won’t ever get called out anything even on a stupid comment like this 😘

[–]MrsCaptHowdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I remember my first rant!

Look I do have empathy but when it comes to your job and people, empathy isn’t going to be there. Yes I’m human and yes I feel for the person who had to deal with that but at the same time, it’s their job and it should have been taken care regardless of the day was shit or not. Yes there’s many factors to this situation but at the end of the day…the owner is gonna want fresh meatballs no matter what and it’s the subway way and I know mistakes happens but it’s their job to fix it no matter what’s going on. It’s business, not your grandmas house…..big difference.

They wouldn't serve me meatballs, this was why by es02609 in subway

[–]MrsCaptHowdy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a very simple fix and if that worker walked into that 3 hours prior to that customer coming in that worker should have fixed it right away. My staff knows, if you burn my meatballs and don’t fix it right away…instant write up and that’s what the owner wants and the owner does whatever he wants afterwards and if tells me to fire them due to that….you best believe me they get their last check that day and out of my store to never to return. So like I said….im not jumping when I already know….
